yes i am one of the lurkers, but i hope you forgive me for not posting a v-d wish for you. I have been at the 500 watching the races. now that the big one is over i can stay up a bit later. Its a long day driving 800 miles to see a race, then traveling 200 miles a day to see all the other things.

Jr, had one of the best cars, if you listened on the scanner, his team wouldn't shut up so Jr couldn't pit the second time. He even said on the scanner that he wanted to come in. BTW, if you have a child under the age of 21 please don't let them listen to JR. on the scanner, lol.

overall i am glad that Stewart or a Busch didn't win. Stewart wrecked Mears when Mears was in 3rd. Lack of class on his part, exp after Stewart was complaining about someone hitting him earlier in the week. When Stewart is man enough to admit he messes up like the rest, i will feel bad about him not winning the super bowl of racing.

Junior was strong and seemed pleased with his car. Yes, he needed to get his butt in the pits and get tires when the rest of them did. In todays racing you never turn down a chance for 4 tires. Stewart is a great driver and his day will definitely come, just as Earnhardts did. As will Kyle and Kurt Bush have their day. I am not a big fan of the Bush's or Stewart, but all three can drive the wheels off a car. Being an Indiana resident, I was glad to see Newman, also an Indiana born and bread guy win. Newman has an engineering degree from Purdue and has quite a bit of input into the build of his car. Newman couldn't have won with out the help from his teammate Kurt Bush. I enjoyed seeing them work together for the win.
