Jenn's Missing

Not that I would dare nor should anyone speak for Jenn, she has been away before, for her many reasons, sometimes for short times sometimes longer, but has always comeback. Let her know we care by keeping her bumped on top, and letting her know we are waiting. She may even be checking in occasionally but just not able or ready to post. She does have a very busy life outside of Lit, but when able/ready graces us with her wit, antics and beauty. Hope to see you soon Jenn and hope the above does not offend you huggsss.

Hi boys...
Sorry for my long absence. I decided to just take off for a awhile and rethink things that I've been doing. I sometimes take road trips and this was a combination road trip, boat trip and finally plane trip. I ended up down in Belize and kind of forgot to come home I guess. I just got tired of painting and working, so ran away.

I had refused any new commissions back in June of last year and worked my ass off to complete everything I and committed to. Now, I'm free to start over on my terms... whatever those are.

I also broke up with that guy I had been dating and decided that I didn't want to hear him calling all the time begging for forgiveness. I know it sounds harsh, but the time for amends was before I got so pissed... not after.

So that's that.

For the first time in probably 15 years, I have no idea what I'm going to do next. I'm just sort of lounging around now. Probably head out east to stay with some friends there when the snow finally goes away. After a couple of months in Belize, I simply won't be able to deal with the cold right now.

Anyway, I'll try to stop by and spend a little more time here and I do have a story that I'll finish up sometime this week and post.

I have been to Belize a couple of times and really enjoyed it there. It's a good place for reflection. The people there are so nice.

I recall being fascinated about the mental picture I had of you years ago from the selling your Karman Ghia story...only ran across it when the car itself piqued my interest having owned a pretty rare, never restored it and drove it to my regret 1957 Ghia.

When a year or two later I stumbled across your thread and realized same girl and that the picture painted by your words matched reality and surpassed in fact my imagination, I was enthused...

drop in an aside about an AC Cobra (0-100mph-0 in ten seconds reputedly) and I was enthralled.

Over the years in lurk mode, in various cloaks and ids I flighted through always wondering why i didn't stay more often.

I didn't lack for inspiration for comments, and now single a couple of years, there's no one snooping through the private recesses of my mind as revealed in such public discourse, but still old habits and I lurk.

I ran across the thread again today. (funny though its a treat I seem to enjoy best when I can ignore it a while then play catch up, imagine being able to read the daily output of a favorite author or the day by day brushstrokes as in your case, fun to see the inside, but better to devour in chunks.) I was reading the lead up to the break up advice before during and after. Not all in agreement but an awful lot of it was well thought out, well phrased, parsed, punctuated and annotated.

You just don't see that here as much. SO I wondered and browsed and looked again at commentators. Some have become regulars. In fact it seems rare that a person with a lucid post doesn't come back again and again woven through the thread.

Other threads have a lot of hits and some of thse are fun to follow to, but too often it seems like eavesdropping on bored teenager.."whach doin?" nothin' whacha doin'? Nothing, what you gonna do later.."

I kind of like that you disappear living life, despite the impatience fans must feel.

So I looked for the random "nice tits!" post and found you do actually get those, (all though in your case its generally "DAMN - those are some interesting nipples!") but they are drowned out by the volume of the thoughtful content.
