That was a really fun story Jenn. I think I have read everything you have on Lit. I actually started reading your stories, back before Art's went to a pay sight. I have been on Lit since 02. I am glad you are here and posting. Darn I like V W's. lol.

You might add a link to your sig lines to your stories here on lit..(or is it there and I didn't notice it. If so everybody clickety click now..If not, Maybe add it for the less technologically adept to find your other great stories. I think my favorite was the backseat fooling around on the way back from the beach with a carload of friends? been a while since I read it, should revisit it.

maybe someone technically minded could spot what didn't work in the link on page one?

This takes you to her Bio page. Then you just hit stories/poems, and they are all lined up. Hope this helps. *i would give you the stories link, but i think everyone needs to see her lovely Bio page.

Thankyou for all your kind words regarding the picture. Based on responses to date, I am of the opinion though that stories should probably remain on the story site and not here.

It was an interesting experiment, but it seems that my picture drew more of a response than the story and maybe that's as it should be. I tried to keep the story to a reasonable length and I think it maybe with me anyway, longer stories are better and this isn't the place for long tales of adventure and daring do.

Now that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the kind comment vis a vis the story and as a thankyou...

A new picture...

This is an older one and I just love the soft look of it. I think it's pretty, what do you think?

Lovely photo...as always... I liked the story very much! :)

Junior...

Well folks, I have to tell you... I am friggin crazy that Junior joined Hendrick... I love it!!!

I know that being a Junior fan, I was supposed to hate Gordon, but truth is... I've never been a pack follower and so find that I enjoy watching Gordon too. He's got he's been making and will continue some serious racing history. I think that when I'm old, I'll be telling people how I used to watch Gordon race all the time.

I feel the same about Stewart, I know he feisty, but the guy speaks his mind and I like it. I also love the fact that he lives for racing, that whole dirt track deal last week was really too cool. think the caliber of racers who showed up for that event speak volumes about how they feel about Tony. That's more important to me than what the fans think.

He's cool in my book!

So now, Junior should have the equipment and I think the teams to help him get to where he should be, a title holder.

I'm not into hero worship, but I love talent however it comes to a person, artist, musician, race car driver, mechanic or whatever... they are all artists in their particular chosen profession and talent is to be admired.

Did I say I love this deal....

Jenn

Jr going to Hendricks

I agree Jenn ... I'm a big Gordon fan and I welcom a talented driver like Dale jr to the team ... He should be a solid contender for the cup now ... to bad for DEI ... it's a shame for thier team.

I hear Kyle Bush is the driver that is leaving Hendricks ... that's a sweet deal too :)

anwering a couple of questions here

Loved the pic of the hauler, I've seen it at Sonoma and it's even cooler in real life.
Thankyou for posting it.

Glad to see Kyle moving on... I just don't like the Busch boys, they are too full of themselves I think. I get the feeling that they were nerds in high school and are trying to compensate. They're both talented, but I really dislike the rude attitudes.

Formula 1... My dad loved it, but I haven't really found anything to hang onto yet. I guess I need to identify with some aspect of it and I just haven't found that yet, but times do change. A few years ago, you wouldn't have caught me watching a bicycle race but thanks to Lance Armstrong, I now enjoy watching the Tour de France, I've also started watching some of the yachting stuff too. So maybe F1 is on the horizon too. I was in Miami a few months ago and got to meet Tony Kanaan, now I kind of like watching indy car a little too.

My favorite nascar tracks are the road courses though, maybe because of Sonoma being relatively close... but I don't disparage the right turn stuff either. If it was that easy, then Pablo would be ruling and he's been having some issues getting used to the feel of what these things do. I think it's much harder than it looks and requires a special talent to master. I took a race school in order to feel safe driving my car (a 67 IRA Cobra 427 replica with a cobrajet 428). The instructor told me that racing in nascar is like driving on ice at 190 mph, the grip is that tentative.

I know it felt that way to me on the track in my car, the damn thing wants to snap out wickedly if you are a little too aggressive with the gas in a corner. But then I'm not a race car driver either.

Here's a picture of my baby...

It's not my only car, but it is my favorite on a sunny day when I want to tease the boys with the fast cars.

Yeah - you are right. I should not make fun of Left Turn Racing - I have never done it and therefore have no idea of skill level.

I have done Formula 4 and that is quite exhausting!! I like the sharp 90-120 degree turns. One really has to be careful of the racing line in addition to braking-oversteer & lift off oversteer. I also like to take my BMW Z4M for a spin on the twisties. I am not into driving fast in a straight line.... I do not think stepping on the accelerator takes much skill. What I love is a twisty road and a 6-speed manual with a Limited Slip Differential and Michilin PS2's on the car :D

you need to give motogp a shot. CBS just covered the Cataluyna event sunday. much closer racing than F1 (they pass on the track, not in the pits) world class venues, crowds and beautiful people. and the defending world champion is a 24 yr old from...Kentucky

Back to speaking of Junior. I am sure Theresa will never give up #8, so looks like Junior will now be #5. Theresa has made her own bed, I anticipate it having a lot of lumps in it in the future. I am still guessing Budweiser will end up on Juniors car. Without Bud DEI will go down the tubes in a couple of years. What about the Eurys? Where are they going to end up? I am thinking Junior may want to cut the ties with them also? I predict Biffel ends up at DEI and Bush to Ginn Racing.

Bush ... pfff

I met Kurt last year, actually got to talk with him ... he looks like he's 15 yrs old ... When I saw him, I thought to myself ... "That kid looks a lot like Kurt Bush" ... it WAS ... but he really seemed nice enough, there were only a few people around so he didn't get mobbed. NOT that I'm a Bush fan by any means ... but respect them all.

knowing the exhibitionist you are, a pic of you holding on to the roll bar would be a notable addition to your portfolio.......:D

Nice ride I never would have expected you having a replica cobra

Why not?

What do you think I'd drive...

I have 2 other vehicles, what do you think those are?

The cobra is a toy for hot nights when I need to cool my jets.

It does drive the boys crazy and the fact that I can drive it makes them nuts. Tey feel that girls shouldn't be driving cars like this...

They are such... boys!@!

You know that comment about Motogp, I could see myself watching that. My dad was into motorcycle racing. He used to talk about some guy named Roberts I think and races with this upcoming kid, I think his name was maybe Freddie Spensor or something, I'm not sure, but he used to talk about them all the time. I used to stick my finger in my mouth and make gagging noises... mostly cause it made him laugh.

I think it's because of my father that I like racing so much nowadays.

So anyway, enough of all that, you're not here to talk about racing or at least that not all you're here for...

Here's another picture that I don't think I've ever posted before.
