Snow off the lake, high winds and temps in the single digits Fahrenheit. (-12C). I'm staying in and checking out the cottage. I assume there's lots of room around a warm fireplace or woodstove?

I'll bring a nice warming bottle of my favorite American Whisky, smuggled all the way from... Texas! (Balcones Brimstone).

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I never want to live any further north than I am right now. Yes, there's a fire roaring in the fireplace tonight. It's just above freezing, sprinkling and dreary. So break out the whisky!

I love the smoky taste. Y'all make nice whisky in Texas.

It's good to be warm in the winter, but the summer heat is something else, right? The hottest I've ever been was at a foundry in Longview on a hot summer day.

It took three Did Equis to cool my dry throat!

Mmm, I haven't tried this brand before.

I'll take baking in the summer over freezing in the winter anytime. I can always take clothes off when I'm hot!
