I stopped to have myself some nuts
And I wondered what was happening
With the “Jenny’s Cottage” bunch

I haven’t seen them for awhile,
So I’m sure I’ve missed some fun
So I’ll make a note to stop by and see
Just what they might have done

I don’t expect to see them there
When I leave this note to find
I just want to let the hostess know
That I haven’t been left behind

And apologize for not visiting
With a bottle of wine and such
To share with all the other guests
