Non drowsy sinus stuff only - and the only machinery I need to operate is to drive the little one to daycare.

Definitely not..................at least not right away. Restraints come later. :p

I think I'm going to have to go back to the doctor....I've suffered from polyps before and I think they're back, which is why I'm struggling

That doesn't sound like fun. Mine is just an old fashioned cold.

No, it's not. They make me feel like I've got a blocked nose when I haven't, which means I blow to try and clear it and inflame them even more....vicious cycle. And of course, if I actually get a cold, I just can't breathe at all.

I had them shrunk with steroids a couple of years ago, but he did say they could return.

At least you know the problem and it can be treated. I have permanent sinus issues but keep being told there is nothing wrong with them and I don't have allergies (apparently)

I've had nasal problems since I was small, I had my sinuses washed out at age 12. But since I've been an adult, my GP's have not taken me seriously My own GP only referred me for allergy testing because I insisted. They told me I had inflamed nasal linings and said there was nothing that could be done. I got the name of a private consultant that my cousin who suffered similarly had seen and he sorted it in one appointment.

I'd suggest seeing a doctor who works in that field, preferably one recommended to you.

Since the GP says there is nothing there they don't want to. I did go to an ENT and he said sinuses are fine. Went to an allergist and he did a very quick test and said "no allergies" and I know I was tested about 15 years ago and all sorts of stuff turned up. Basically I'm learning to live with the fact they think I'm imagining it.

I usually sound like I have smoker's cough in the morning from the post nasal drip overnight.

Trouble is, our bodies change resistance to all sorts of things over the years, I'm asthmatic now where I never used to be...

It's worth getting another set of allergy tests done, particularly food ones.

The one I saw didn't want to do any more tests on me.........said he tested me for the major stuff so nothing else would be likely.

Yeah, but that was 15 years ago. Things could have changed by now.

No the full set was 15 years ago - this idiot was only a year so ago.

Ahhh, I see. To be honest, the allergy testing is never accurate, they said I'm not acutely allergic to pollen, yet every April/May, I'm taking anti-histamine...

I practically live on them to keep my head clear.

So I've given up on doctors for that for now.

Yeah, same here. I have to change they type I use every so often as they become less effective. Luckily because I'm asthmatic, I get them on prescription so i don't have to pay for them.

I have to pay for prescriptions too so over the counter is best. I find the same thing - change after a few months.
