Just admit it, you still watch cartoons don't you?

The few, the obsessed, the otaku.

I'm a total otaku--a SERIOUS fan of Japanese animation (anime). There's plenty of anime around that's better than almost anything on American TV right now (in my opinion). A few of my favorites:
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
Bubblegum Crisis (the original version)
Mahou Shoujo Pretty Samy
Hime-chan no Ribbon

Any other fans of these shows, especially Hime-chan, please drop me a line.

^_^

Sad but true, I could answer all of DCL's questions. There's also this cartoon that comes on ABC on Saturday's called Recess, that cartoon is hilarious.

did you ever catch that one episode of Recess where they ditched out on detention to go to a book signing and saw their teacher there? that was cool...

I got bored and watched Johnny Bravo last night.

and i'm not a tube-tater. i hardly ever watch TV.

Cartoons Rule!

I love cartoons and freely admit to still watching them to people who ask. Hmmm thats probably one of the reasons I dont have a girlfriend right now.:(

Ah but as long as I have The Simpsons and Futurama I'm a happy camper.:)

OH my goodness Shila, I thought I was the only one who watched Recess. I did see that episode about the book signing, but my favorite was when Vince and TJ found out that Gus was El Diablo. Did you see that one?

I know the battlecry, RNitelite!!!
I love that show!

I also like "Recess." My favorite one is the one where they get kidnapped by the kindergarteners... it's so cute :)

Here's a short test to see if you watch too many cartoons:

I didn't read the rest of the thread yet, but I don't know a single one of these.

I feel validated.

Wait, Cheyenne posted. I wonder how long until someone brings up Magic Powder?
~~~~~~~~~~~~ :cool: ~~~~~~~~~~~~
yes, I do, darn it
As often as possible,,, though I have a remarkable lack of comprehension for the new ones,,, an animated sitcom is not my idea of cartoons,,,
Disney is cool in all respects, Rocky and Bullwinkle are great as is Tom and Jerry and the early super heros still get my attention as does the Roadrunner
I don't think so...
Who's gonna pull Speed Racer off the air?
i dig cartoons like nobody's business!
powerpuff girls kick ass! i actually force my family to watch it- i'm 19 and i live with my mom,... and normally she hates cartoons, but i've gotten her to like that and sanrio products,...
dexter also rocks, as does freakzoid, toonami (except 4 dragonball z) and has anyone seen samurai pizza cats or megaman? (i used to watch those all the time,the get me rollin' every time)
and all of you ave to try getting a little less than sober, and watching cartoons with the volume down and electronica or hard rock in the background- it's an experience,...
I watch dbz....2 times a day hehe. Try and catch the simpsons
as much as possible. That show rules and has for so long!
I'd watch the xmen but I often don't wake up till it's over:(
I've watched some sailor moon never really liked it much tho.
And a buncha pokemon "nothing else on grin" (least thats my
excuse and i'm sticking to it) The tick ruled!! I would watch
that if it was still on! Spoooooooooon!!!
Think I must be getting old or something tho cause I don't
like many of the newer cartoons like beastwars, reboot, the
new johhny quest, that max show etc....I used to watch
transformers and gobots laugh even smurfs sometimes.....
la..la..la-lalala...la...lala..la...la....I just can't watch
bugs bunny road runner show etc anymore it's been on a few
times and my attention wanders. Oh well guess tastes change.
Oh yeah 1 reason prob is cause I don't catch them from the
start. I have the same prob with tv shows to. If i miss the
first episodes I hate comming in from the middle. I've heard
that Gundum wing is really good but i just can't seem to get
into it at all. I think a large part of it is that I don't
know who everyone is and what the heck is going on half the
time *laugh*. On the other hand I came into the middle of
DBZ and still really enjoy it. Tho by now i've seen alot
of the older episodes grin. Course it could just be DBZ
just rules.....btw i still love that I watch politcally-
incorrect at midnight and then dbz right afterwards.
The switching of gears is just to funny *grin*
Nitelight Cringes
So I'm happy as a clam because Nickelodeon has picked up the wonderful 'Pinky & the Brain'. I plop down in front of the TV and start to sing along.
They're Pinky & the Brain.
Yes, Pinky & the Brain.
One is a genius,
The other's insane....
But somethings wrong.
Something's different.
What the....
I don't believe it. They've airbrushed in the stinking Nickelodeon logo all over the opening credits.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGG!!!!!!!!
I definately watch cartoons at times. There are times when a good Roadrunner vs. Coyote toon will make me LMFAO. Or any of the Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd toons.
Other favorites are Bullwinkle, Dudley Doright, Flintstones, The Jetsons, or Tom and Jerry.
Whats wrong with having something that can make you laugh. I don't think your ever to old to enjoy a mindless laugh.
ubetcha
I still love and watch all the oldies such as bugs bunny,daffy duck, roadrunner, flintstones, jetsons, I also like the rugrats. I love foghorn leghorn, sylvester & tweety, etc. etc. etc.
In fact my nieces told their mom (my sister) that they wished I was their mom because I watched cartoons with them. I guess in some ways I haven't lost my inner child! Or is it I am immature...I prefer inner child theory....yeah.
