An Old Ending, A New Beginning

I stare at these walls,
No crack unseen.
The curtains are drawn
And my senses keen
I feel everything.....
And my stagnant breath
Brings a shallow thought
That I'm close to death.
The ceiling stares
At my motionless face.
My body content
To be in this place.
What lies below,
I float above
Such blissful feeling
Must be part of love.
As my eyes close,
I feel my heart
Cease to beat
As my soul departs.
Life as I know it
Comes to an end,
And leaves my soul
To begin again.
