Justice League: Next (OOC)

I really like that idea, I just think limiting who characters can fight to those who are NPC's would just get annoying since it would be hard for villains and heroes to interact otherwise

Hero/villain interactions are pretty much just punching each other in the face though, so what interaction are you after? If the thread becomes factional then it's basically two different threads occupying the same space that occasionally overlap for the purpose of punching each other in the face.

Now I want to be clear here, I'm not trying to shoot down the idea of villains in play, I think it could be interesting, I just don't see much chance for the two sides to play together without weapons.

Yes, the meetings ending in fights could happen, but for an easy example, look at Batman. Often times, he may run into Catwoman, stop her from her heist, but not get into an actual fight with her. Now, admittedly, that is a special case, but I think a lot of the meetings between the heroes and villains don't have to evolve into fights. They will probably be tension filled, and, let's say, if Raven or Beast Boy were to meet Harley Quinn or Deathstroke, sure, guns may be drawn, but that doesn't mean they have to be fired. I can see Beast Boy trying to talk to Harley while she keeps a gun trained on him but not actually trying to attack him. Also, I think one of the keys to this needs to be that the villains can continue being villains but that there could be some kind of occasional working together but that they won't enjoy it and it will be high tension with a high probability of backstabbing. Just maybe not complete separation, which I know may seem to be going back on what I said earlier. I feel like this needs to get started to be able to work how I mean it to work. Has anyone heard from any females interested in joining?

I can't promise that Harley won't shoot anyone lol. But out of all of the heroes present, I think she'd be least likely to shoot Beast Boy. I feel like they'd have great banter.

To give you an idea of how these types of RPs generally tend to play out, here's one of my old Young Justice threads from my old account, The Jeffinator: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=854274

The story of this one got quite good before the RP died, and I kept that version of Deathstroke hidden from everyone so they would all be surprised when he revealed himself, lol.

You see the problem there is it would always have to be just before anything bad happens, if deathstroke and harley rob a bank and are standing out the front of the place with big fat stacks with dollar signs on them, then its unlikely they will be let go without them giving up the cash, and its very unlikely they will give up the cash without a fight. The problem is especially notable with your character opposed to Alices, Harley is a random sort and can just be doing things for fun, Deathstroke is a career merc, he doesn't do anything for fun, and every time there's a compromise like the one above it damages his reputation, with is bad for business.

Oh the two of them would get along like a house on fire, and Beastboy would have to be careful not to get swept up in Harleys crazy and set a house on fire, that would be awkward.

While that is true, can you actually picture Deathstroke robbing a bank, or almost ever working with Harley? And also, that doesn't have to be the way he meets with them. I mean, Slade's a merc, that doesn't mean he only works for bad people. I'm willing to bet that if the Justice League paid him a shit ton of money, he'd pull a job for them. And even if he wouldn't in the comics, I'm writing him

I feel like a house on fire is a bad thing lol

Yes it is, and once we teach Harley that then step one of rehabilitation is compete, and if I do my job right all that time with Harley will make Raven jealous, maybe enough to spark a cat fight. Then we all win.

The bank and working with Harley were just for the examples sake, but yeah, just hiring Deathstroke is also a good way to solve the problem.

Raven won't cat fight. But maybe forcibly stripping Harley with magic to humiliate her could happen. Not that it would work lol.

Most of the female writers me and Sean used to play with are no longer active or not interested, lol.

Cool beans. Lets see, Raven and Harley down.

I'm kinda torn between Star Sapphire, Jade and Wondergirl. Any requests?

I have to second that. Star is nice, but isn't Jade just green skinned space babe Star Sapphire? Either way you might need to play doubles to keep up with us.

Ivy is always fun. Though Ivy, Harley, and Nightwing might be a bit heavy on the Gotham Crew, heavy enough that it might make more sense for the rest of us to conform than for them to "hit above their class" so to speak.

Ok, one thing, I'm getting really confused so, at least before we start the thread, can we make a post where we list everybody who's playing and who they're playing, because I completely forgot we even had a Nightwing

Yeah we didn't organize this well. Lit's spoilers suck though I like putting them all on the front page so it's easy but yeah we can do better.
