When the Vorpal Sword is uttering its catchphrase at the end there, does that mean Blue's rolling to crit on something, or is the sword just announcing its approval or somesuch?

Well, I assumed the Doctor would be reading his mind and so know that it wasn't a challenge...but I also thought it gave Var an opportunity to make a post / introduced a modicum of tension...as I know you are so busy. It also shows a little how the sword's personality and blue's are different.

Blue's intent, not realizing anyone else is in the ship and/or not caring if they are...is to get the Doctor's back and it was the only area he'd glimpsed. But yeah, it was intended to be vague and open to interpration by all parties. Whereas the sword is just happy it's not being unmade and has an opportunity to kill stuff.

You didn't actually write out Blue's thoughts in that moment-- just that he wanted to be in that spot-- and while I figured he was't literally going to stab The Doctor in the back, I just wasn't sure what was in his mind for her to read and I didn't want to assume. From your description, I thought-- I thought for sure that it meant he was between The Doctor and the ship, not aboard the ship facing out at The Doctor.

In accordance with Ten's TARDIS from Who, the shift-ship prevents teleport breaches when she's in motion, but not when she's stationary-- though she would alert The Doctor that such a breach took place. Just for future reference.

The Doctor mentioned the Heisenberg firewall earlier, that should prevent both phasic and teleport intrusion while in flight. It's a mark of how scary J'onn is right now that he could just waltz right through it.

A lot of the assumptions of that post are specious, but the solar flare is a sweet new power.
