Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

He seems to like scientist chicas.

Nat developed a crush on him in like thirty seconds and I bet Serling will too, he probably has an animal-pheromone catnip factor.
 
You would actually not believe how long I've had that Interlude brewing.

Feels amazing to have finally patched that one damned plot hole in particular.

I'm gonna go sleep now.

She was one of my favorite characters to write. It was a fascinating process digging into the source material and the background philosophy to find her. I'm gratified that other people responded to her too!

Not to mention, I hope I did Steven and MERLIN justice!

Hey, Kiz.

When the Vorpal Sword is uttering its catchphrase at the end there, does that mean Blue's rolling to crit on something, or is the sword just announcing its approval or somesuch?

While it was fun to do the rest of the montage (and hook in one of my favorite arcs from Morrison's "run" on "The Flash")-- like I want to do a whole thread just in Earth-32, mash-up madness, and taking a peek back in on "Who Watches The Watchmen" was beautiful nostalgia --the whole thing came out of wanting to patch a plot hole, like I said.

Way back when the thread started, HotCider had his Silver Bullet character encounter The Flash-- explicitly Barry Allen, even though Legend had made it clear that The Justice League had been gone for weeks at that point, so it couldn't have been him. When Var and I took over for Legend, I suggested to HC that he edit it the post so that it was Wally West, but he didn't see my point for whatever reason. So it was kind of set in stone that Barry was there, even though that directly contradicted the whole main plot of the thread.

I pondered for weeks trying to figure out a loophole so that Barry could be there. Like, maybe he was time traveling using The Cosmic Treadmill or something.

It wasn't, I think, until after I wrote the first Interlude with The Doctor on Wonderworld and made an off-hand mention of the Earth-14 Flash having been propelled out across The Speed Force Wall, that I realized that it could be the Barry from another Earth making an appearance on Earth-1.

So gradually, Barry-14 has been inching his way to running through The Multiverse just so he could be there "about a month ago" and get flashed by Hiro while they defeated Fast Forward. I feel pretty good how it turned out.

(Wally is going to be pretty crushed to learn that wasn't "his" Barry after all, that's his last hope for finding his beloved mentor/uncle, but we'll run across those troubled waters when we come to 'em.)
