Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

They were the first series I ever read And I had the Archive additions so I started at the beginning....

I have some of the originals, but I have all of the Dominator run with the New and old Legion. That was sort of freaky to come back to and work out at first. :)

Okay numbers have been changed.

Groovy.

Feel free to post an intro for Firestorm in the Challengers IC when you're ready.

We'll come get you after we pick up Animal-Man of Earth-19, so it might be a little bit.

As per the theme of the thread, there should be some terrible world-shattering event happening that The Challengers can scoop Firestorm away from in the nick of hypertime.

It's been awhile since we've seen the updated roster!

I've (hopefully temporarily) moved J'onn-25 from Challengers to The Reserves because it's been a long time since I've heard from Amen, but I'll gladly move him back once we hear from him again.

I'll do the same with Static assuming WiredIn doesn't return before this Event is done.

As always, you can check the roster and a number of other important posts via the links in my signature.

Just found some great books in my local bookstore. Both the Avengers and DC character guides with 225 Villains and Heroes contained in each. :)

Should make my writing a lot easier now I have some facts and inspiration to draw upon, and to find some obscure people to reference LOL.

I love reference materials!

Don't forget that there's always marvel.wikia and dc.wikia, and comicvine, which I use extensively to augment my knowledge.

But there's nothing like getting it right from the source!

I feel hopelessly overwhelmed against DieHard :O

Oh, I'm sorry. :/

But you're really doing great, better than Hans could ever have expected!

That said, he's supposed to be a scary bastard.

You can switch opponents, too, like Rebel and Atmos did.

I have a plan to stop him if you guys don't think of one, to make up for the fact that Static didn't show up to help neutralize him a bit. I'll bust that out in the next couple few rounds if no-one pulls something out of their hat.

I had it in my mind to have a go at Barracuda and show what a Blue Whale and Megalodon really look like when they attack outside water.

Magneto is a really scary bastard, especially when he fine-tuned his power so much that he could kill ... Uhm ... Can't remember the X-Force kid's name. All I remember is that you could see his insides. But that Magneto also had a shield that protected him and he controlled atoms.

Scary.

Also my next big attack will be a dinosaur. Just saying :p

Dig deeper! Pull out those Hell Dragons that the Rider showed you!

Sounds like a plan!

My idea is to have Aquagirl and Atmos wear Barracuda down, then to have Atmos time out inopportunely-- Gar can come barreling in to finish Barracuda off and save Ruby's bacon.

Then when Ruby is herself again, she can call out her plan to stop Diehard.

DieHard manages to land a hit on Gar, with a slight wing adjustment, just as Barracuda seems ready to strike the now vulnerable Ruby...

SPLAT!!!

Goes the hippopotamus

Lol

Threw it.

It's up to you if you want it to come at her broadside or straight-on.

I asked Nevyn if he wanted Braggock to help you catch it (if you need it) but I haven't heard back from him.

I am so lost right now?

I have no clue who is fighting what or whom is attacking me...

I need a set of miniatures and a map...

Okay, I'm really sorry, that last post was really action-packed... my bad. :/

But I'm happy to clarify!

Karan's heat vision successfully hit Tracer, blew him out of Velocity's whirlwind attack, and gave him a quick microwave parboil. But then Diehard started using his powers to suck the solar energy out of Karan's cells to try and kill her. (Triumph did it to Superman once in the pages of "JLA," during the Crisis Times Five storyline. And earlier in our story, Static did a quicker, less painful version to recharge himself.) So that's not awesome for Wonder Girl.

Ghost Rider's hellfire heatwave successfully steam-bathed Barracuda's pool of water, but she had flown out of the way before Renegade reached her, so her clawing biting attack failed, but she has other targets she could go after instead (Gorgon, Tracer, Carny). At the same time, Lord Havok challenged The Rider to a face-off, revealing that his armor has highly mystic and even blessed qualities to it-- including splinters of the version of The True Cross from his universe.

Raven's attempt to suck Dreamslayer into The Fire-Opal Dreamstone is succeeding, but Dreamslayer is fighting back by filling Raven's mind with deeply personal atrocities.

Does that help?
