Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

We have a channel that plays the very early era Superman cartoons, (50's I think). It is amazing how different the powers are. He has trouble picking up boulders, stopping trucks and even gets knocked out by normal bomb type explosions. Flying speeds are slow and even his ability to withstand heat and cold, hold his breath, and fly into space are almost non existent.

Are those the Max Fleischer ones? I love those!

Especially "The Bulleteers." Watching that, you can see where "Batman: The Animated Series" got most of its design aesthetic!

Yes those are the ones. It's amazing how similar some of the gadgets used by those early villains made it into Batman's utility belt LOL.

Even though Diehard's coping with a new powerset, at the rate he metabolizes electricity you guys don't have much of a window, and he can still take a punch like a mothereffer.

I suggest a team effort with Wondergirl, Rebel, and Velocity.

Make those hits count, ladies.

Tag, team!

Ruby has just Dialed H-E-R-O. Which means she's going to turn into some random superhero or superheroine with random powers. But rather than my picking them and getting basically whatever power I want whenever I want, I would like you guys to pick.

You can either name a super power or powerset, or name a superhero(ine), and I will either pick an existing hero with that power, or become that named hero, or come up with a Captain Ersatz that has that power or is inspired by that named hero.

Hopefully that's not too dense an explanation.

Bonus points for giving me awkward or unexpected powers or characters, stuff that forces me to think on my feet, this is meant to be a challenge!

(Though I would love the occasional dramatically-timed epic Hero, this should be a last-ditch thing, like we'll never survive unless I get something conventionally useful. A very rare occurrence.)

Extra bonus points for giving me a Legion of Superheroes member or Ben 10 alien or X-Man that fits the above criteria. :D

Wish List:
(to be doled out at the discretion of the tagged OOC, in no particular order, surprise me!)

Ruby from "RWBY." (How poetic would this be? Rubyception!)
Any of the Heroes from this bio. (Dialing a Dial?)
Any of The Bionic Six.
The Remnant from Earth-24.
Aquawoman from Earth-11. (Big Gun! Only in case of emergency!)
Black Arrow from Earth-32.
Link from "Super Smash Bros." (Because Nintendo!)
The Masked Mallard from "DuckTales."
The Rocketeer.
Kim Possible.

Thanks, guys!

Red grass and silver trees.

And orange sky.

I don't mean to nitpick, that post was bleeding lovely, Kiz.

But yeah. Red grass and silver trees.

It's... important.

Bounder from REBELS? A more heavy hitting Bouncing Boy?

That's a good one, but we already have a rocky guy who can curl into a ball and bound around.

And I've already been a R.E.B.E.L. this fight scene.

So as a counterpart to Bounder, may I suggest Bouncing Ball from The Legion of Galactic Guardians 2099, of The Amalgam Universe?

All good!:D

Jared Steven's version of Fate. If anyone can redeem him it's you.

Hahaha, oh, maybe someday. That would be a challenge.

But that guy, man.

Explicitly unkillable, immune to magic unless he chooses otherwise, his weapons can't miss...

...he's like Wraith from LDoK except badly written.

Still, with that laundry list of immunities, how did The Sons of Anubis kill him by stabbing him in the back with the Fate-blade? Eh, not that I'm complaining, but heh. Robinson must have hated that guy even more than I do.

But I have this rule to go with the first superhero/power named in these things so I don't get to pick my favorite, keep the challenge (unless I do a mash-up) and Wyld already called Bounder, so I'm extrapolating his powerset and picking Bouncing Ball.

You thought outside the box, though, that's awesome, thank you Lunar!

Posting from the phone so sucked! And not only do I have internet I have Fiber optic internet! 250 mbps download speed......

I'm grateful to you for taking such a bullet to keep up, thank you!

Glad you're sitting pretty now!

T.H., I think my next post will give you the opening you need to help G.R.I.D. and Wildcat with Gorgon.

I just need to consult with Zet.

He could be bald and speak like Patrick Stewart for all Jo cares...:D She just wants ta whoop on him.

Oddly, the version of Diehard I'm most borrowing from was portrayed as a mash-up of Chuck and Maggie, but no, we're not getting a surprise Dr. Strangefate reveal, here.

He he he don't care. Just wanna beat the tar out of him..... He's been too smug.

As all het up as our Rebel Belle is, Wyld, I think we should hit a gentle "pause" on the Hans/Jo brawl so that Velocity and Karan can get their fists in edgewise.

This is all happening at superspeed, after all.

That a gentle enough pause? :D
