Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

Yeah, since mythology is partly history in this world, magical beasts are totally on the table.

In fact, an alternate-future Beast Boy named Menagerie could *only* become mythic creatures.

But that's the future. I would say right now... not yet.

As for upgrading BB's repertoire with a Red-shift, I'm also going to say not yet. It can be soon!

But there's a reason I don't want him to realize that's an option right out of the gate.

That's what parents say when they want their kids to forget about the candy in the pantry.

Well, for one thing I think traveling to The Red deserves a mini arc between big story events rather than a cameo side trip in the middle of an event. It's big and scary enough, plus as a concept it's massively important to me personally.

For another thing, I'd just like to keep that plot hook open for future development. We don't want to all jump to max level immediately, at least not from a storytelling standpoint.

For another thing, I have a cunning(?) plan, and I don't wanna spoil it.

All catholic statues of St. Michael are of him with a foot on Lucifer's neck - either as a demon - or as a Dragon.

That tussle was depicted in The Book of Jude, if I remember rightly.

The Devil has also portrayed himself as a roaring lion, in The Book of Job.

And of course there was the serpent of Eden.

But perhaps most infamously, he portrays himself as an angel of light.

I was just messing with you. I don't think kiz wants any of these children to go max level anytime soon.

First make sure they aren't crazy
Then consider if they are on your side
Then consider if they will stay on your side
Then let them earn their power...with a little help maybe

Crap, we lost it at the first line item.

At least three of the personalities in my head say I AM BATMAN!!!, so WE ARE BATMAN.

There none of us are crazy.

The Joker agrees.

(But he's crying in the corner, so I'm not sure he counts.)

On decreased duty the next few days, as you may have noticed. But should have a bunch of time next week, fingers crossed, to get caught up and plan ahead.

Haha. Chas good luck. We'll be here waiting for you when you are ready to pick back up.

I found an old earlier chapter of Kiz's story I was working on...years ago. I always enjoy reading it when I stumble upon it. Someday I need to finish that story line.

That was AWESOME!

Like the #0 issue from Kiz' solo book, or the opening to a graphic novel!

I love that his appearance was a fraction of the piece-- not that I don't love seeing Kiz--

Tony Jaa makes a cameo in the Thai movie "The Bodyguard" basically consisting of walking into a grocery store, helping the main character by whupping a bunch of baddies and saving a couple civilians, and walking out. I always thought that was just liquid cool.

This was the "Kiz the Summoner" prologue equivalent or something, I dunno, I'm too jazzed to make sense.

I kind of wonder what would happen if Kiz ever meets the Ragman that's a hero in Gotham, especially considering that Rory Regan's modus operandi is pretty damn similar to Kiz'.

Yeah I didn't realize that guy existed until I was poking around looking at DC super Heros after one of your interludes I think it was. Really cool concept.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks!

Definitely!

Ragman made a cameo early in the thread.

A mysterious shrouded figure grabbed Aquaman right before Legend disappeared the first time. For lack of a better direction, I decided it was Ragman, saving Kaldur to bring him to Constantine.
