Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

Holy crap. It's Firefly all over again.

Someone actually listened to the fans!!!

Of course we will probably have to wait a year *Sigh*

That's true.

I am going to have to rewatch the series to remember what was going on.

I hope they carry it on straight from the last series and not time jump again like they did from series 1 to 2.

Rewatch it anyway!

Rewatch it always!

So here's a question.

I thought we needed the time-jump because we had ground to a halt, but now people are posting again, do we just want this to unfold naturally? Or would people prefer the fast-forward after all?

Well we need a scene change unless you want us to make one up. Right now it feels like we are just engaging in idle chatter.

Oh and are you working in Connor's Arrow refueling to your post already Chas? I was tempted to post something myself, but i didn't want to step on your creative toes.

Yeah, I had figured you would want Connor reloaded by the time we went into the next phase.

I just have a couple quick clarifications for folks to help me with the logistical speed bumps I've been hitting.

Varshanka, your Ghost Rider has the thing where any ride she gets into becomes Ghost Ridery, right? Car, horse, combined harvester? But the bike remains constant and selectively self-driving, just like in the "Spirit of Vengeance" movie?

Also Var, Raven can heal people... but she absorbs their damage and pain? So if she tried to take Kiz' suffering into herself, it could do catastrophic damage to her? Additionally, could she use her empathic powers to shield Rose from her fire-fear?

Kiz, is Kiz deriving some sort of essence-recharge from Lisa and her sort of Void-y form? Would that help him be recharged enough to fight by the time we next hit the fan? How long do people have to be dead before Havel can convert their corpses to his undead army, can it be immediately after death?

If I think of any other questions, I'll pop 'em up immediately.

Thank you again for your patience, everyone!

Don't worry, I have several ideas how to solve this problem and to have gimmicky arrows by the time the next big battle rolls around or the next postings after this part of the thread. :D

This is Connors first time out so I wanted it so he is learning. Running out of arrows seemed to be a good learning experience. I hope this was okay with everyone.

Definitely!

I mean, The League is literally fighting an army, here. In a world with vast superhuman powers beyond all mortal reckoning, weapons still need ammo.

It's great! I love to see progression in character and skill development!

If Kiz is a nuclear reactor, well he's currently borderline and with the fuel rods running hot. I always envisioned Kiz having more capacity than he can tap into so the whole tearing off a chunk of Creation and putting it Elsewhere plus the "to be named twist" are huge draws. So i thought a lot of his current physical distress was (1) just being tired from interdimensional travel, (2) drawing too much power through the electrical cord, and (3) a little over acting to throw off their opponent whom he believes is watching them dither and plan. Though I thought they could wrap up whenever is dramatically convienent or inconvient as you prefer.

As for Havel, yes, he can raise the dead regardless of time after their souls have left their bodies. Not all souls leave at the same time. I envisioned it based upon someone's power / spiritual awakening. Most of this is based upon Budhist philosophy. Typically, he isn't allowed to mess with souls (which is the other side of Necromancer).

Yes I thought the proximity with Lisa would help. Perhaps he could even run a power line through her in a fix. Rose and/or Raven could be other candidates considering what they are going through, but I doubt Raven would be so trusting of someone she doesn't know. I had this idea of the well of power and the channel through which the power flows, sort of like how there's vast water reservoirs under America but most wells only pull a limited amount of water, but as those channels get clogged with debris it flows slower, etc. All that is to say, I viewed the major source of power beyond a Void Binder is offering up power (and a few other things), which is what is happening when he calls forth his various bound nightmares. However, that same thing could be applied (temporarily) to others as so called Lesser Bindings.

yes on the activation, but as far as 'self-driving' I don't really see that. more of it goes in a straight as an arrow line without a driver. and long enough without a driver it loses the flames and 'Rider' effect

Also Var, Raven can heal people... but she absorbs their damage and pain? So if she tried to take Kiz' suffering into herself, it could do catastrophic damage to her?

Yes, so she's very reluctant to do anything like that. Plus she sees Kiz as a pompous ass that see's himself as God's gift to everyone around him.

Additionally, could she use her empathic powers to shield Rose from her fire-fear?

yes, in essence she could, if she understood enough of Rose's psychic structure and fear.

Haha. Nice! As long as the audience doesn't find the character too Mary Sue, I think I've struck the right balance between OP/SaveTheDay and Asshole/Arrogant.

Raven the Stripper?

Raven's opening scene portrayed her as a stripper, didn't it? It's been awhile since I read that post.

yes, she was actually working at a club and left. got to her apartment and the attacks started. she never stopped to change.. so.. she still looks like a vampire-slave-princess.. stripper.

OK that post should set Chass' surprise quite nicely. Making everybody think in the beginning that Gar is angry with them lol

Or if Chass wants to work another route I'll edit

Raven's Last Post said:
Shivering she turned and looked at The Rider. “You are one hyper creeper, you do realize that.. right?”

Did you mean "The Rider"?

So in some strange way, Raven is against Garfield's typical, adolescent male lustful thoughts towards her in that costume...but okay with all the men at her job? Garfield and Raven do have a relationship or know each other from Teen Titans, i guess? It's more like having your brother see you stripping at a strip club, kind of vibe?

More of she was unprepared for anyone to perv on her. Prior discussion with beast boys writer indicates they do not have previous contact.

Had a pretty serious crisis of faith last week, but I'm picking up the pieces.

Sorry, sorry, if it's not one thing, it's another. But I'm getting caught up.
