Kentucky Governor '23

Polls reflect a snapshot in time with results that vary based on methodology. The Emerson poll did not predict a Cameron victory. Neither did I. The poll indicated that Cameron had gained a lot of ground in weeks leading up to the vote. They had Beshar up by 16 points on 10/3. Just one month later, their 11/2 poll showed a dead heat with 4% undecided and a 3 point margin of error. Factoring the undecideds and the margin of error, Emerson’s polling showed that Cameron had gained significant ground and tightened up the race.
Hmmm Beshar last won by less than 1% of the vote, this time he won by about 5%. Me thinks the pollster need to step up their game.

Pollsters need to continually reassess their methodologies but if the final result is a 5% margin of victory for Beshar, the Emerson poll came within range. It had a 3% margin of error and 4% undecided. I believe Beshar was leading in most of the polls during the campaign. Like most elections, this one tightened up at the end but not enough to carry Cameron over the finish line. Beshar’s 5% margin of victory was a decisive win by any standard.

Oh look...the hallowed "Vetteman Defense":
I never said that!
I never said I believed in the story that I posted!
I was merely passing it along!

I shared a poll from a reputable polling firm. The same poll that had Beshar up by 16 points a month ago. You can go back and read exactly what I said.

43rd in higher education
39th in economy
44th in employment

Mitch has been doing a fine job.

He is a senator you dumbass.

Blame the dipshit Beshears. Especially the jackass who wanted to bankrupt the state giving every black person in the state free college.
Ok, I'll blame the governor who came to office in 2019.
Kentucky was leading the field until then obviously.

Pop Steve would have likely easily won a third term if not term limited.

Except that you were all giddy as if you didn’t also know the Cheeto was damaged goods and what he touches turns to rubble.

Is that why he needed all those bankers boxes? Rubble fits in boxes like that much better.

Losing like that when other ‘pubs in the state rolled 60/40… that’s the Cheeto 45 effect!

Best thing they got is education… and that’s one of the things the ‘pubs want to cut. Then, no one will know anything and they can keep lying to folks.

Fool proof plan. I mean, they have those who believe already here.

Louisville and Lexington are carrying this state on their backs. Especially Louisville.

Andy's term limited now. Who can fill his shoes? And might he go for a loftier office?

If you're going to keep repeating that claim about "free college for Blacks," you could surely provide a cite on it.

Yeah, doesn’t seem to be anything out there with a quick search- but I’m sure Q has some solid deep research to back his claims.

Kentucky does have some great opportunities for anyone who wants go into some very needed fields, including healthcare and construction. The WorkReady Scholarship seems like a very solid approach to solving some gaps the state has in those areas. If people of color happen to be applying for those scholarships…then maybe Q got triggered on that since…well, we know his preferences (he isn’t even subtle on that and “preferences” is saying it nicely).
