OTOH, I think you are going down a rathole with the whole alt thing. I think the issue is how best should Khan-E's original intent on the Incest is Best thread should be honored, because some people like the way it was, and some people like the way it has evolved.

Frankly, I don't know if alts were used, nor do I care. I have no problems with people having alts. I do care about freedom of speech, and about everyone finding a place to openly exercise that freedom.

I agree entirely with the first paragraph I quoted, above. I too care about freedom of speech. I have no desire to stifle anyone's point of view on the thread at issue. Rather, I take objection to anyone trying to stifle my freedom of speech on that thread.

Sorry I offended you by discussing alts. I think alts are fine. Many people write under one alt, and post on the boards under another, for example. I simply objected to the deceit involved in this particular case.

But I've more than had my say. I'll continue to exercise my freedom of speech, fight strongly against any attempts to limit that, and hope that this ends the controversy.

I've been asked - by KE to weigh in on this.

Okay - if she and NL are the same person, to me - that is irrelevant in a sense.

What does seem relevant are these few things.

First - NO ONE can really "take control" of the thread - but if push came to shove, I think we might all be surprised at the outcome.

Second - name calling and acting like 10-year olds accomplishes nothing.

Third - I honestly don't like ANY of the options listed above. I am seriously considering leaving the group [ as I mentioned a week or so back ] because I am sick of this. This time, if I do, my decision will be irrevocable. I will remove myself from the subscription list of this room, I will leave you all to the pettiness I have seen over the last few months. Frankly, it is ridiculous. The room should be welcoming to EVERYONE and if you find a few days dull - so what? Check in, give it a quick scan, and then leave. if you aren't happy. Or post your own fantasy / story. Trying to make others conform is ridiculous on a thread that is all ABOUT non-comformity.

I really can't take this shit anymore folks. Stop it now.

This wasn't really an issue until NL or whatever her name is began all this fuss, the thread was doing just fine until it became a warzone for no reason. And nobody was made to feel unwelcome but those that wanted to go on about how evil we were for condoning child abuse when that wasnt the case. This whole situation could be resolved without this drama by simply creating another thread that isnt just incest.

Fresh start is a good thing. The old thread is at 860 pages which is a little absurd. Forums were never really intended to hit that kind of post count per thread anyhow. Not that it harms anything, but like a file folder, when it's bursting at the seams just start a new one. NL already did that with the Incest is still best thread and it already carries the kinky tone that some people want back.

I say just anoint that thread as the new thread where NL and KHAN-E can moderate it and create a more kinky version as the original thread used to be. For those that still want to hang out and be social in the old thread that's totally cool. Let them since there's no harm in that. Everyone is friendly in both threads and it's clear that there are two slightly different tones between the two crowds. No biggie.

The solution is quite simple actually and everyone is happy.

My 2 cents worth.

I have been on this thread for a very long time. Khan-e has always intrigues me with her lifestyle. It is something form a fairy tale book to me. Don't get me wrong, I think it is totally wonderful that she has cousins/sibling that want the same thing. My goodnes what a wonderful life it must be!
That being said, I think Khan-e belongs right here on Incest is Best with us. She started it, and she lives it. Yes, there are others on here that also have the ralationships, and I applaud them also. That is why I am here. It is a fantasy to me. Although I do not have a relative close to me that I would have an affair with, it is something I have wished many times that I did have, even before that advent of the internet! (Yes, I am old!)
Khan-e, please stay with us. You and Neighborlady, Landiek, and so many other ladies make my life so much easier on a daily basis! (Most of you will not understand that, but Khan-e does)
So my vote goes to Khan-e staying and running the show as it used to be!

Been tried; won't ever happen.

I stopped following the IIB forum a while back -- got too disgusted with the flirting/vacuous posts. Why wade through pages to find something actually related to the subject, and then half the time it's a troll? Then I heard K was back, so I went scanning and found almost nothing changed...

I really wish K could get control back and drastically cut the clutter (and the subject of off-topic posts has been throughly discussed). Been tried; won't ever happen.

Worse yet, I'm afraid a new thread would fall prey to the same, or people would abandon the old for the new and corrupt it too.

Some day I'd like to have a good discussion with people who can contribute from personal experience; I've got a couple of questions which have been bothering me for a long time... <wistful sigh>

PS: in a couple of days, it will probably take a PM to reach me as I'll take IIS off my list and not see any more postings.

The winng point of view is that I take back the thread I began, Incest Is Best.

That has happened. It never should have taken a pool, nor a fight to make it happen. I started the thread. Therefore, I should have been able to return and give direction without the harassment I received.

Lit. has changed in my absence. The Playground used to be for only the fun-lovers. The beligerant and abusive posters were contained in the General Board. The tone of posts in the Playground is a lot less playful these days. That isn't a good development.

Some people I don't know posted to the poll, which certainly was their privilege. Some questioned my motives and my sincerity. That is also their privilege.

I was determined to follow the direction of this poll at the moment I created it. Had the votes come in for me to leave Lit., I would have. If the abusiveness continues, I may still choose that option.

I hope to see my friends back on Incest Is Best. Those who have never stopped by the thread are invited to check it out. You just might like it. People choosing to harrass me are asked to refrain from posting there. Everyone is welcome, but I do not deserve harrassment.

Now I see the problem, and see why the poll was created. Jane and charger are acting like asses on two separate threads. Complete asses. Very judgmental asses as well -- not judgmental about incest perhaps, but judgmental none the less.

If it were possible to change my vote, I'd change it from 2 to either 1 or 4.
