Kinks - how open are you about them?

I believe that life is short. So if you have a fantasy that is achievable then go for it. I understand we all must live our work lives but I feel so fulfilled having truly lived my fantasies out loud. I have experienced living out my sexual desires to the fullest and it truly makes for better sexual pleasure. I am bisexual and have had women and male lovers. Ive explored BDSM and cross dressing. group sex. making adult movies . It's worth it however sometimes you just cannot truly experience your fantasies and I understand that. I am grateful Ive lived in parts of the country where there were tolerant people who I could groove with.
LIVE OUT LOUD!

I think that some people secretly enjoy kinks but are too ashamed or shy to try them. Finding the right partner seems to be key with lots of honesty communication.
I found this to be absolutely true. All people have some kink. The ones that say they don't are just lying or don't understand what a kink is... and it can be anything from an odd position to things that cannot be mentioned here.

I did share with a partner and did not go well she thought it was too weird and would not discuss it anymore

My biggest kink has always been body writing. I’ve had to do it in secret for many years, until about two years ago I finally decided to open up to my SO about it, and he’s so supportive! It’s much more fun no longer having to hide it.
He’s also warmed up to my exhibitionism, and supports me in it when I want to walk around with my tits out on the local nature trails, or drive around topless in the car.
It feels very liberating and I’m so happy that I took that scary step to tell him. But besides him, nobody who knows me in person knows about any of my kinks.
I do feel like we may sometimes be missing out. I don’t want anyone to know because I don’t want to create an uncomfortable situation for anyone who’s not that sexually open. But who knows how many of my friends and colleagues would actually love to know? I wish we had a color-coded bracelet system for everyone 😁

I had confessed to those two kinks, and I had fantasies about a few others. But I really came into my own when I met my Lit love, over a year ago now.

In our first PM exchange, he introduced himself as the biggest pervert on Lit. I asked him to tell me his kinks. He sent me a list, and expected me to run for the hills immediately. Instead, I sent him back the list, annotated. “Love this. Open to try this one. That one? Maybe not so much for me.” With a few kinks of my own added for good measure.

We have since developed an amazing relationship, based on pure trust and comfort. From the start we promised to be open to at least listen, and to never judge. And not only has he turned me on to so many of his kinks, but I have given him a few of mine, and together we have discovered so many more. Some are fairly common, some are really out there. Some have made it into our lives by talking about them and slowly incorporating them into our sex life. Some have just been blurted out in the heat of the moment, one of those “where the fuck did that come from?” moments.
Not all of them are keepers. Sometimes, at the end of the night, we decide “yeah, let’s not do that one again.” But we’re open and comfortable enough with each other that in the moment, we don’t let those things spoil our mood.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to share most of my kinks with people I know in person. There are quite a few I may not even be comfortable sharing with people on Lit.
But I have a love that I can share all of them with, and he’s allowed me to reach my full potential.

@SmokingFap , I will forever be grateful for who you are, and who you allow me to be.

Thats amazing you have found someone you can be very open to and not be judged.

I was open in my early years of marriage and she enjoyed some of the kinks herself or so I thought. In later years, when I asked to play those kinks again she kept saying not in the mood or the right time, until eventually she told me i was a pervert for even suggesting them and she never liked them. She even said I coereced her sexually in the divorce papers, so now im very wary sharing my kinks with people I know irl. Even my gf doesnt know about most of my kinks as I'm too scared if she woukd react the same.

I'm glad I have been able to share to some of my Lit friends and not feel judged and we chat about them openly.

I’m so glad that you found Lit friends to share with!

But I’m sad to hear about your experience with your wife. It’s understandable kinks are not for everyone, but I would have hoped she’d have told you right away, rather than slapping you in the face with that opinion all those years later.
I hope that you and your current girlfriend will come to a place where you feel comfortable enough to share with her, and where she feels comfortable enough to be honest in her response to you, whether that’s a “Oh that sounds like fun! Let’s try it!”, or a “It’s not something I think I will enjoy, but thank you for telling me.”

My biggest hesitation in sharing my kinks with more people is exactly that wariness you describe. It’s not that I’m ashamed of my kinks, or too shy for others to know. It’s that I’m worried about exposing others to something they don’t want to know, or see.

Thank you.

I have shared a few tamer kinks with my gf. She knows I'm into BDSM and that i am a Dom. Although she isnt a sub, she does enjoy a little control and punishment. She loves to be spanked. Unfortunately she doesnt really share any kinks or fantasies of her own with me saying she doesnt really have any.

I wouldn't be who I am today without you, either. As depraved as I was before we met, our explorations have brought me to a higher plane of perverted existence. We have not only completely shared our previous kinks and fantasies, but we've stumbled upon so many new ones while we held hands and walked down that trail of erotica, daring to take the smaller offshoots leading into the dark corners of the forest. Here's to always being willing and even excited to take the road less traveled. We have so much more to explore for the rest of our lives together. And I fucking love you so fucking much for fucking ever, Bee.

So how open and uninhibited are you with your kinks.
Share your kinks and tell us who knows about them, your family, friends, coworkers or are you secretive about them and keep your kinks hidden in your closet.
Do yo actually indulge in your kinks and have you made any effort from your end to indulge in them. Or you just keep your kinks as a fantasy.
I have developed many kinks over the years and have been indulging in them. Exhibitionism and being naughty / risky in public is one of my kink which I have worked to to make it a part of my daily life. I don't hide it from friends and family any longer and the result has been that many of my friends and family have chosen to ignore me.
But do I care, I don't think so. Life is too short and time will go so fast that soon I will be regretting that I did not enjoy myself. So I have really stopped caring what people think or say and do things which give me sexual pleasures.
Please do share your thoughts on this subject.
This is Robert's wife Jan. Rob and I share this userID. No secrets. Our plus one has our credentials but he doesn't usually post here. My husband and our plus-one know all my kinks. My family not so much. Some of my friends know.

I'm into CNC: sitting on the bed handcuffed and blindfolded, dressed or naked, depending. One or more guys come in and use me every which way. Always safe and sane with a safe word. Neither Rob or our plus-one is usually rough enough for me but we're working on it. I've only safed-out once and it was an equipment malfunction unrelated to the play. That's what's in it for me. It's playtime.
