Ladies Help...The Smell!

Ok, Ladies...I have a really embarassing question to ask you! Do you ever get a "fish" smell after your man cums inside of you?

My husband and I always use condoms, but in the heat of the moment, he came, and I got this horrible dead fish smell that lasted for several days (and several showers and baths).

I'm 1000% sure that I don't have the infection that produces that smell or any other STD. The smell went away after a couple of days, and I smell normal after sex and at all other times.

Does this happen to anyone else?

If so, it'd be comforting to know I'm not alone and I'd appreciate any tips on how to get rid of it faster!

What you are going through right now sounds to me like something I have had a few times, Gardenerella(sp?), we women can cause this to happen by merely changing brands of toilet paper or laundry detergent. You can however pass this to your husband, and he back to you. The tx is a few days (7 if memory serves) of an oral antibiotic. The bad thing about the possibility of having this or a bacterial infection is that the symptoms can go away and come back over and over.
I would make an appointment if I were you, just to be sure, and they should be able to tell you right then what is going on.

I think that kind of smell goes with Trichomonas, and that is a mild desease one can get on the toilet seat or using a same towel with a woman that have it.
It goes away for a while and then can comes back (the smell I mean).
There is a very simple treatment, but make sure you both have it, and change your laundry daily, for you can get it back easily.

Yes, I get this, but it only lasts until I am able to take a shower. Semen left inside of a vagina can create a distinct odor that is not very pleasant. However, if the vagina is doing what it should, and with a good cleansing, the odor should be gone quickly. Staying for days seems odd to me. I would suggest if you are really wondering about this to check with your doctor. It may be a sign of an infection of some sort.

I actually had a conversation about this with a friend today. Her brother had been with a girl recently, who immediately after a shower, stunk to holy hell.

I would have a doc check it out for infection, but sometimes, it just smells more than normal due to hormonal type things. Better to be safe than sorry and go to the gyno, but it could be just that.

Bacterial infection. My ex wife used to get them if we had too much sex. Well in reality she had the bacteria but her body was keeping it in check until we'd have sex. Then once her body chemistry or her PH balance changed because of me the bacterial infection would flare up. She often mistook it for a yeast infection but only because she didn't know about the other kinds.

Anyway, she had a fishy type of odor accompanied by itching and redness and a creamy white/off white discharge. Not much of a discharge at all but more like a bit of foam on your finger.

Bottom line is that you probably have something as that odor is definately not normal and you will have to see a doc to find out what it is.

Beware of getting yourself treated and not your husband. He can turn right around and give it back to you.

sounds like youve either got an infection or

youve had sex, isnt that normal
