Last Daughter of Krypton: Legion OOC

And on the Legion Lost idea, maybe have them thrown into the future where Zod won instead of the past?

Oooooh, I like that!

Very "JLA: Rock of Ages," I dig.

We can't do the straight up Lost Galaxy "Legion Lost" because I, eager fangirl, already namedropped The Kwai as part of the thing with Threshold technology.

So our options were-- a whole 'nother part of space, which we'd have to make up from scratch, The 21st Century, which we don't wanna maybe mess with in case we can get other storylines going again, or-- yes. Yes, post-apocalyptic future...

I vote yes.

I'm right there with ya on this point hun. You and I being the Legion fans took on way too many. I'd be good with two myself. Or just Jo. But if the group were small I'd be up to two. That was kind of why I could see Val helping Jo through the nutso she'd be going through.

No more five to ten for me....

I would definitely love to explore Jo and Val's friendship, more. That was one of my chief regrets from this thread, among many, was that the friendship between the relative rookie and the Rimborian bad-nass couldn't flower more.

Oh, my God, my character list was off the chain... what was I thinking? I mean, I like to think I rocked it out, but that's just-- "speed up to burn-out mode." Ay, chihuahua.

We both did ourselves a disservice with our zeal hun;)....

Give it the "Do we keep to the code or do what has to be done" feel.

And dare I hope? Maybe a spin off thread with the Lost while using the Lost as a drive for the main thread?

Yesh. YESSSSH.

There was a lot of that in the original "Legion Lost" storyline.

Granted, I haven't read much of the more recent variant, but that's just because The New 52 seriously has not drawn me in. It's like you can *tell* how unhappy the writers are.

actually this thread was very close to a wrap up when I got a serious case of writers block & it fizzled out.
(I gotta find a way to power through that.)

& Wyld, your comment about an alternate timeline is very similar to a Harry Potter storyline I have in my head:

1998: Battle of Hogwarts. Voldemort wins.
1998-2006: Voldemort takes over the wizardly world, expanding his control to muggle Great Britain, France & Germany.
2006: American Witches come out to the president of the USA. President organizes special ops teams to take out Voldemorts supporters in the USA.
2008:USA nukes London, killing Voldemort and destroying his power base. The American President outs witches to the outside world.
2008-2016: Anti witch and warlock legislation is passed and enforced much like Marvel Universe Mutant registration acts. Magic community is further repressed.
2016-2024:Wizards are persecuted worldwide. Magic population shrinks further and further.Wizards go underground to protect themselves.
2025: Voldemort rises again from the ashes of London. You, one of the last remaining wizards, are now one of the few remaining who can stop him and save your race, and the world.

that's a rough (really rough) timeline that I have in my head. I was thinking of running it as a pencil & paper RPG, using Wild Talents (or maybe Fate Core since you can download it for free from Evil hat).

anyway, i'm home most of the day today so I will jot down some ideas & see what bubbles up.

...aaaaaaand now I'm gleefully considering bringing back my idea for an Australian wizard who can fly without a broom but needs magical assistance to operate normally on the ground.

Gee, thanks, Brax.

It didn't really work out real well. The story wasn't that strong once they got rid of the original threat. I'd hoped they'd get the hell off of Earth and let us see if R.E.B.E.L.S. or L.E.G.I.O.N. existed in the new 52......

I've got an idea....

JLA vs. zombies?

Seriously, current timeline, with Batman, Superman, WW, MM, all them fellas against a zombie apocalypse.

You know how, in the comics, Ra's al Ghul was always trying to change the world's ecosystem back to primitive times? How about if he unleashes the ultimate bioweapon against Earth?

While each of our heroes has their own stuff to deal with in their cities (Batman's gotta help Gordon secure Gotham, Superman is trying to deal with the plague in Metropolis, the contagion spreads to Themyscira, etc.) they have to also band together and fight it as a team.

(I figured since everyone was throwing out ideas...)

(Oh, and hey, Chas. Missed you.)

I saw some crossover stuff with "Teen Titans," but my God am I not a fan of Scott Lobdell.

Just... ugh.

It already hurts that I don't have a job in the industry, but giving such a terrible writer multiple books is a Helluvalotta salt in the wound.

But seeing Vril and The Gang would have been sweet...

The Batmobile is a black Chevy '67 Impala, and Alfred Pennyworth guards The Batcave with a shotgun filled with rock salt.

Bring it on.

(ONE GOD SUN GOD RA RA RA! :D)

check out Ex Heroes by Peter Clines Amen.

it's good. damn good

I must remind you of the discussion you, Peter, and I had regarding toy Godzillas and the Six Million Dollar Man on FaceBook a while back.

I've read both of his novels so far. Anxiously awaiting on the third.

Seriously, I've been pre-writing the intro to this superheroes v. zombies ORP for a while now in my head. I'm not shamed to admit Peter Clines' novels gave a wee bit o' inspiration for the whole thing.

If you guys are even remotely interested, I'll throw down a storyline and you can give your yays or nays. (That's what horses say, too).

I finished it last night.
