Last Daughter of Krypton: Legion OOC

my brain is set on "damaged" today

You have no fucking idea.

Spent my day in the E.R. with our Kittylove. She suddenly started having migraines like 4 weeks ago. It was finally bad enough that Hubby and I pressed her into going to the E.R. He stayed with the kids, I went with her.

After a CAT scan and an MRI they have determined that she has a mass on the right side of her brain. She's in the hospital tonight.

Oh damn.

I am so sorry Wylde. Prayers & love going your way.

Oh my God no doubt. :: hugs tightly :: So much positive energy, Wyld.

Lord, so much is going on.

I can't help but feel it's good we're gathering back together around each other, if everyone's suddenly in need of support...

I'm good Chas.

I'll miss her, like I miss my other two grandparents, but I have 43 years of being with her to fill that hole she left.

and if anyone needs any of the time & love I can give them to make their day a little better, well, I have that too.

Thanks y'all. My being online might be a bit spotty this weekend. The hospital is talking about just holding her for the weekend. Up till the possible surgery will be outpatient care.

She's already talking about getting her extremely long hair cut so it can be turned into a wig if they call for chemo. If she does this I am going to take mine down to a buzz cut so she isn't alone......

"I have never left you. I have always been here.

"Watching.

"Listening.

"Waiting for the time when Earth world would once again call for heroes to rise up and defend her against evil and injustice.

"I have heard the call.

"And I have answered."

-J'onn J'onzz

A thousand years ago it had been beautiful. Now it was but ruins. Unkempt, uncared for, what was once a citadel lay now in broken brick and toppled columns. What was once gleaming spires and arches and architecture of the most coveted now was dust and rust and fallen into crumbles. It had been buried by countless time of dirt and all but forgotten.

The citizens of this place were no more, gone as much as the foundations they once walked. In some places their spirits remained as yet unbidden by time or its effects on the material world. Hollow voices echoed throughout, and in places their energies coalesced and beckoned.

It was into the Great Hall he entered by wrenching open a massive door of iron and wood and stone. The light that filtered through the dust shone upon a millennium of emptiness. The stone floor was cracked and broken. Great tables and chairs that once held feasts and tales of battle and song lay rotted and fallen. A hearth that once held a roaring fire now stood of crumbling stone and the forgotten stories that it once spurred.

Yet, at the far end of this place, there was still a great chair, a throne upon which once sat a king; a lord of all. He made his way quickly to this chair, and he stood before it and looked upon it with sadness. Empty was this place now, for the one who once sat upon this throne was not just the lord of this place, but was looked upon by Earth as a god.

The Martian Manhunter knelt quietly before this empty chair and he placed upon it the thing that he had been carrying. This was the thing that brought him here to return it to where, and to whom, it belonged.

J'onn J'onzz stood and nodded once to the chair and to the thing that now rested in it's moldy and dank cushion. He turned and left.

But, he did not leave the chair, the throne, empty. No, he left within it the one thing that signified the power and the glory that this fallen realm had once held. It was interesting to the Manhunter how such a thing could be a symbol of so much.

After all, it was only a hammer.
