LDoK: World's Finest (OOC)

Grundy is always fun, especially when he's not being manipulated into greater evils. He just loves money and gold. He's like a big kid that wants all the toys to himself.

I've been thinking about heroes. There's Captain Marvel, Kyle Rayner and maybe The Question?

Have you considered Bizzaro Supergirl? Or Cyborg Supergirl? (Basically same plot as Cyborg Superman, but have the husband and wife switch places.) XD

Mmm Grundy maybe, Doomsday is something that I plan on introducing way down the line.

We've seen a Grundy already, I think Lunar might have had plans for him?

I would talk to Lunaramblings about that.

There's always Mammoth... he was a Titans villain, a member of The Fearsome Five. He's fought Superman, I think when John Byrne was doing the book way back in the day. And he's fought The Outsiders.

Lunar was also laying groundwork, I think, for Captain Marvel.

And Hank Henshaw didn't become Cyborg Superman until after the "Death of Superman" storyline, similarly, Kyle didn't become Green Lantern until after Hank blowed up Coast City, spurring Hal Jordan into "Emerald Twilight."

This isn't to say, of course, that we couldn't muck around with the timeline somewhat. We've done plenty of that already. I'm just saying... things to keep in mind when you're looking at source material.

I'm mostly bringing up names of characters I like both physically and personality wise here to have them tossed around by the main group. Help me figure out who is the most practical and useful.

A wise endeavour, IMHO.

I'm a pretty big Kyle Rayner fan, so, I wouldn't mind having him around, not even at all.

And The Question's pretty dang awesome. It wouldn't hurt to have another mysterious masked hero lurking in the shadows.

I'd probably want to play Question similar to how he was portrayed in the JLU animated series, with a mix of Rosharch in there. Make him a bit more hard assed and prone to breaking arms.

Sounds like he'd get along with Damian just fine.

I just loved his personality in the animated series. Plus he just had the most perfect voice actor. Anyways...other characters...hmm...

I dunno. I honestly am more of a Marvel fan boy then DC. >.< Plus the villains are always so much more interesting. Villains and Anti-Heroes.

:: chuckles :: Makes sense you'd like 'em.

Considering Lobo started out as a parody of Wolverine and other such fellas.

I do have some designs in mind for Captain Marvel and Grundy definately has a score to settle with Merick, since Merick dropped him on the moon and all.

Personally I like the idea of having the Question around. He's a cool dude.

Honestly, between Chas and myself, I think we have managed to name drop a good chunk of DC's characters that aren't currently being written. I know we have tagged several members of JSA, Sandman, Alan, Ted, Canary, etc.

And I won't even begin to go into characters I've had ideas for;)..... JSA members and unaffiliateds (A version of Firestorm comes to mind.).

Name: Jessica "Jessie" Chambers
Alias: Liberty Belle
Age:21
Parents: James Chambers and Lisa Hanson.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 145 pounds
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue

Powers: Enhanced strength, agility, and toughness. Her speed is near that of Super girl or Wonder Woman's. Jessie also has the ability to clap her hands together to produce a sonic shockwave.

Personality: Jessie is a happy go lucky party girl on the outside, but inside is a lonely woman who misses her parents and her Most well loved grand parents.

Background: Jessica Chambers was born to the son of the original Liberty Belle and her husband Johnny Quick. James Chambers had inherrited his parents' powers but they had laid dormant through his entire life. And he unknowingly passed them down to his daughter.

James had known all about his parents' carreers as "Mystery men" and thought them mad for it. This aversion held through his whole life, to the ppoint of making his parents swear to never tell their grand daughter those old tails. She never wanted for anything, being the Grandchild of the Philedelphia Bell newspaper. Her grand mother owned that paper and her father ran it effectively and smoothly after grand mother retired. Jessie grew up in a repressed conservative family until the day her parents were killed by Political extremists for publishing a story exposing a cell.

In her twelve year old grief her life took a major turn. She was sent to live with her grand parents.

Johnny and Libby Chambers maintained their word to their now deceased son and kept the secret, but they did make it clear that Jessie should let her creativity and her artistic side out. They pushed her to stretch her limits in anything she set her mind to. So by the time Jessie was a senior in high school she was something of a wild child.

Jessie might have never seen her grand parents again until in a science class she encountered one of the rare Smallville meteor fragments. It's funny how such a small thing can be so tragicly life changing.

The powers that were dormant in her from her parents came surging up. Jessie had strange moments of speed and strength. She tried to smack a fly out of the air in an empty class room one day and the wall in front of her detonated from the shock wave.

She ran home to her grand parents and they could tell the time had come to betray their word to their son. Libby began to teacher her to control the powers she had inherrited. Johnny, out of curiousity had Jessie recite back the equation "3X2(9YZ)4A" and to his surprise and joy it worked. His grand daughter had the gifts of both of them.

Two years later her grand father passed on in his sleep. The most energetic of the originals had passed at rest in his own bed.

The morning Jessie was due to head off to college, almost two years to the day of Johnny's passing Libby passed on as well. Her heart couldn't keep her from the man she loved anymore.

Jessie inherrited everything. The house, the money, the paper. All of it. She had just become a very wealthy woman. In more ways than one. After the funeral she was tidying Libby's room and she found a box with a note saying "In case of emergency" on it. Liberty Belle was inside it. A remade version of her grandmother's costume.

Jessica Chambers became know as the Bruce Wayne of Philedelphia. A rich party girl who lived off the money of a very successful business. When she took the reigns she'd found someone to expand the company and to begin stretching out into other forms of media since Newspaper companies were collapsing left and right.

No one knew though of Jessica Chambers' "hobby". The nights when she had turned down Hollywood leading men to instead go into the dark dangerous parts of the city of brotherly love. Urban legend said that the Liberty Belle was back.

I'm sorry folks. I really am, but I am retracting myself from all of the RP's I am active in. Between things in my real life and a general lack of interest from most everyone in the threads I am bowing out.

If anyone else wants to pick up any of my characters when, if ever, the threads pick back up, please do.

Again, I am sorry. Have fun all.

Okay, Amen and I are gonna be bouncing posts back and forth for a while, sort of turning the thread into a pseudo 1-1 RP until some of the other roles can be picked back up.

Enjoy the show
