Instead of the whole past lives thing, we must remember that her daddy was an operative of some covert service or the other and Donna was raised under more than one alternate identity. It's a security blanket for her.

A new character.....

Hal Jordan/Green Lantern

A test pilot for Ferris Aircraft, Hal Jordan found himself on a routine test flight one day when the aircraft he was piloting lost power and began to crash. Safely ejecting from the plane, Hal parachuted into the open desert.

Jordan wandered the wasteland for a few days, lost, alone, and desperately trying to return to Ferris Aircraft. As fate would have it, however, he came upon another victim of a crash. Only this one was an alien, named Abin Sur, and a member of the Green Lantern Corps. Abin Sur's spacecraft was destroyed, and Abin Sur himself was dying. Abin Sur knew this, and he had urged his Power Ring to seek out one worthy of it's power. Abin Sur passed the ring to Hal Jordan, who took up the identity of Green Lantern.

Jordan was transported to the planet Oa, where he met with the Guardians of the Universe. The Guardians, a race of immortals, created the Green Lantern Corps to protect peace and justice throughout the universe. They assigned two Green Lanterns to each of the 3600 sectors of the universe. They are also keepers of the Book of Oa, which compiles the sum of all knowledge and history of the universe.

As our story starts, Jordan has just finished his training as a Green Lantern and is ready to begin his tour of duty in protecting Sector 2814.

Powers and Abilities

Green Lantern's power comes from the Power Ring, which he wears on his right hand. It must be recharged in the battery, the lantern-shaped energy device from which the Green Lantern takes his name. The frequency of recharge, once thought to be every 24 hrs., actually depends on the intensity of use, and the willpower of the wearer, which controls the amount of power the ring has.

Some of Green Lantern's powers are:

-Creates solid 'light energy' which is only limited by the mind
-Constructs of green 'solid-energy,' often of tremendous size and/or complexity.
-Flight, including flight at speeds beyond that of light.
-Plasma bolts.
-Ability to walk through walls by traveling through the Fourth Dimension
-The rings can act as semi-sentient computers, including accessing the Book of Oa,
-Telepathic powers.
-Translation of virtually all languages.
-Force field generation.
-Radiation, including simulated kryptonite radiations.
-Render user invisible.
-Fast healing of wounds.
-Size manipulation allowing ringbearer to grow or shrink in size.

Also, it was once believed that the rings had no effect on the color yellow. It is, in actuality, a physical manifestation of fear (much like Martian Manhunter's aversion to fire) the rings have no effect on.

Going to work on a post. Methinks it might be a good idea to move everyone forward to the next day. We can add in bits and pieces as flashbacks or whatnot, but I think to get the ball rolling we'll need a tiny jump forward.
