Legends Begin - OOC

I see! Well, guns are around here, but only revolvers, and ammo is fairly limited. Unless of course you can magic one up for a short time.... *swipes a particular drunken mage's spellbook* :D

well, Wild ARMs 4 has an arm that until touched by a Gene Driver is nothing more than sand...it also turns into a blade when the ammo's gone...but the original Wild Arms had the same limited ammo problem, but there were multiple different kind of ARMs, including a high energy projectile gun

Yes, well, energy weapons definatly wouldn't work around here. I mean, what chance have they got if an internal combustion engine won't even turn over? :catroar:

that's the thing, it's not powered by batteries....ARMs synchronize with the wielder, in other words, they draw upon the power of the person holding them

give me a few minutes, and i'll provide a link

Wild ARMs original game

the main character is a living metal person, so he can use multiple ARMs and even extend their effects....it's pretty freaky, and i highly recommend the game, even though the graphics suck << it's got a good story, and great gameplay

If I owned a PS2, I would definatly check it out. But, alas, I am an X-Box bloke myself :nana:

Meh! It was dirt cheap at the time, and I don't trust Sony (I work in retail, and remember the whole 'PS2 stuck in the Suis canal' ballony)

lmao....the reason it was dirt cheap is because the hardware is dirt cheap, or rather, cheap as dirt (poor quality) anyways, not all of Sony's hardware is bad. I have a PSOne, though i prefer the original version, and one of the third model PS2s....

no, the slim one is the model 4......yes, i plan on getting the PS3, but i have to reserve it (i'm selling my PS2 to my mother for my little brother for 150, which will include the 50 dollar network adapter)

aah. Not bad value as a V4 PS2 goes for around £99 over here (which is about $160 US I'd guess)

exactly....the one i have goes for 150 american without the network adapter or memory cards....so he's getting at least 50 dollars worth of equipment for free

and he was trying to talk me down to 100....not happening...as it stands, i have to pay 150 myself for the PS3, plus what mom's paying me, and then i have to buy memory sticks and a transfer cable

anyways, do we need profiles? if so, provide us with a template...also, for ARMs, i'm just going to go with him making the ammo himself >>

Yes! Bio's will definatly help! Use the base format that I did:

Name:
Race:
Age:
Height:
Eyes:
Hair:

Bio:

Best make a note of gear somewhere too... And making ammo is fine, as long as it can be passed off as 'magical'

Name: Rudy Roughknight
Race: Metal Human (looks human, but made from Living Metal)
Age: 18
Height: 5'9"
Eyes: blue
Hair: blue

Bio: Rudy was found in a cave as a little boy, by an old man who restored weapons of the old world. The old man had taught him everything he knew, and even discovered that Rudy could control the weapons of the old world instinctively, almost as if by magic. He rarely spoke, but learned quickly. However, on his 16th birthday, Rudy lost the only family he ever had, when the old man died of a mixture of old age and a rare disease. He spent 2 years travelling the world, and hiding the old man's weapon, a strange looking ARM (Ancient Relic Machine) that fired shells that had to be made by hand and charged with one's own inner energy. He recently found that even though the power of the device scared people, it could be used to help them. To supplement it, he carries a sword given to him by the first person to take him in following his grandfather's death.

Weapons: longsword, Grandheim ARM

Sorry I didn't post this notice sooner. I am in the middle of moveing so my posts are largely going to be non existent for a bit longer. If you need to move Slsun feel free to have say anything or do anything to progress the story. I won't mind. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner.

Hey, it's ok Cats! It's all going a bit slow now, partly because miss Fairy can't post much either. I'm sure everyone won't mind much if it's slowed down for a while :catroar:

*Solutes for dramatic effect.* Cats reporting for duty sir!

Screech where do you live?

So we have a metal dude. Lets see last time I saw one of those he fell asleep and no one knew how to wake him, then the thread died. So that isn't an exciting story. Let me take you just a bit further back, to Loa Blood, I played a super healing martial artist and morgoth played a metal monster of a villain. My character, Nia, was rapped and had her personal honor torn from her, tried killing herself numerous times, gave birth to a set of twins one of which was the perfect physical specimen, durable strong fast agile etc, the other the perfect mental specimen, mind reading telekinesis illusions etc. Both were given up for adoption to separate families. The physical boy aged to teen in a year roughly joined an illegal fighting secret and bumped into Nia, his mother unknown to either of them. The mental daughter had her mind age to teen rapidly was kidnapped as another player tried saving her and taken to another country. Then the thread switched boards and died, it was very sad.

Glad to see you back Cats!

As for where I am: UK. England to be more precise. The town of Letchworth, several miles north of London to be even more precise.

Well, if this metal bloke falls aslepp, I'll just leave an alarm clock nearby. And damn that story is sad! Sounded like it was really going somewhere! It really sucks when stuff just dies like that, it really does...
