The intonation, however, has a little whiskey and cigarette in it like my voice gets from doing the above for hours on end. People used to laugh that they could tell at breakfast when I had trained a new equipment operator the night before because of what my voice sounds like because vocal cords aren't really designed for that level of abuse for great length of time.

The above cut off the punchline and I don't know if I can append.
