I have a question here in December we have this tradition with Adventskalendern it's a calendar with 24 doors or such and each day you open it and get a little treat like chocolate or a small gift or such...is that something that does around the world or is that a german thing?

As far as I know it's a German tradition... We don't do anything like that in the States... But sounds fun..

Thieve is something similar, we have Advent calendars with doors but it’s just the fun of seeing the pictures behind the doors. I think here it tends to be households with religious traditions, particularly Catholic.

Voc isn't working for me right now, but advent calendars are definitely a thing in the UK, and they are traditionally more religious but secular versions exist, largely from chocolate companies, and there's often a little chocolate treat behind each door.

As a boy, I felt cheated that there was no 25th door/chocolate.
