Let's hear your voice!

You have such a pretty voice Fermina. :rose:

And you have such a lovely avatar. :rose::kiss:

Such a sweet voice, and glad you could hear all of the outside noises!

I'm also super jealous of your getting to live on that historic property. 😁

Thank you. I still have a scar on my forehead from falling on cobblestone as a toddler. :cattail:

Wow, your voice is absolutely lovely. Thank you for sharing! I could listen to you for hours :)

Aww, thank you. But even I don’t want to listen to me for hours.

A minor quibble, I would say that America was born in Boston, but the seminal moment was meeting that created the Declaration.

I would ask you to reconsider the Civil War. Two things made do it 1) When I finally realized that Memorial Hall at Harvard was built explicitly to remember it: probably the nicest piece of architecture on the campus (it was when I read the dedication in the foyer that it hit home) and when I read Team of Rivals: that's when I saw all of the history that I took as simply fated to be series of events on knife edges that could have gone very differently.

Philly is so close, but I have never been there. I really need to fix that. Have to go any place with History, food and Jimmies.

I won’t reconsider the civil war when there are still massively violent racial injustices happening, largely at the hands of people that can’t get over that the south lost.

Not to quibble, but Philly is the birthplace of America. It’s a tourist tagline.

A bit of a (hopefully descriptive) ramble.

I don't fish, I rarely like to be alone, and yet I'm jealous. Sounds and looks wonderful.

It really was. Very peaceful.
this reminds me of the only US lake ive ever been to; remarkable only for its deep spiritual meaning for me. It's the place i made the choice to fight for myself and escape a shitty life at that point :)
I love how places can touch our souls like that. I have several places across the world that either changed my life or witnessed the change, and I consider those places almost Holy Ground. 💚

Is that wishful thinking or are you out playing in the rain again miss sexy voice?

Ahahahah, it was wishful thinking. :(:D

your voice melted me, it must have been the rain too ;) <3 xx

:)

Sex in the rain is still a fantasy.

Ikr? I was thinking, why the hell haven't I done that before? This is a fantasy that I MUST fulfill. :D It might not be as good as it sounds, but I have to give it a try. ;)

I couldn't listen very well the first part. "You can honestly say that..."

Hi. Good morning.

I enjoyed finding this thread this morning, and hearing your voices. Thank you for letting anyone who wants to just wander in here and listen to you.

I’m wondering if anyone in here might be interested in taking a request...

Anyone feel like reading this poem? It’s a favorite of mine.

By Rumi -

If anyone asks you
how the perfect satisfaction
of all our sexual wanting
will look, lift your face
and say,

Like this.

When someone mentions the gracefulness
of the nightsky, climb up on the roof
and dance and say,

Like this.

If anyone wants to know what “spirit” is,
or what “God’s fragrance” means,
lean your head toward him or her.
Keep your face there close.

Like this.

When someone quotes the old poetic image
about clouds gradually uncovering the moon,
slowly loosen knot by knot the strings
of your robe.

Like this.

If anyone wonders how Jesus raised the dead,
don’t try to explain the miracle.
Kiss me on the lips.

Like this. Like this.

When someone asks what it means
to “die for love,” point
here.

If someone asks how tall I am, frown
and measure with your fingers the space
between the creases on your forehead.

This tall.

The soul sometimes leaves the body, the returns.
When someone doesn’t believe that,
walk back into my house.

Like this.

When lovers moan,
they’re telling our story.

Like this.

I am a sky where spirits live.
Stare into this deepening blue,
while the breeze says a secret.

Like this.

When someone asks what there is to do,
light the candle in his hand.

Like this.

How did Joseph’s scent come to Jacob?

Huuuuu.

How did Jacob’s sight return?

Huuuu.

A little wind cleans the eyes.

Like this.

When Shams comes back from Tabriz,
he’ll put just his head around the edge
of the door to surprise us

Like this.
