If I had to choose only one - it would be sound over seeing.

Me too! I hate that. I also hate their echoey sounding voices in some videos. Hang some wall tapestries! Install some plush carpet! Something that reduces the echo!
 
Kudo's to WH on starting this thread I had more misconceptions on all of this then I'd realized. Mostly I'd believed as pervy a place as this is that unsolicited videos would be an issue for female listers. Now I have a different viewpoint on that but still wonder at the near term impact of this thread on all of that. :)

One of the reasons I came to lit and stick around is that I'm always learning new things about kinks and sexuality. So this threads a gold mine. :cool:

um...it's still an issue..

Unsolicited is unsolicited..period. Doesn't matter if a woman (or man) posts in a particular thread or not. There should never be any assumption that because a person likes something that it's ok to just fill their inbox.

Now, if you see someone posting in a thread, the appropriate course of action should be to:
1. Message them politely.
2. Mention that you noticed they were into *insert kink* and reference the post that caught your attention.
3. Maybe suggest you are also interested in aforementioned *thing* and suggest getting to know each other or ask if they're interested in exchanging pics/video/soundclips etc.



Now what SHOULD happen, if the recipient of such an exchange has half a brain, understands that he (or she) DID INDEED POST ON AN EROTICALLY CHARGED AND PUBLIC FORUM that he (or she) fancies a certain thing, and isn't a complete twatwaffle..is either a polite decline or an enthusiastic "yes".

Unfortunately, people are Fucked up, and the above is only the ideal scenario...

I mean, seriously, I still get messages, and despite being a complete and utter bitch :)D) I still just say, "no thank you, good luck, etc" and move on. For the MOST part, that's been enough to dissuade further pursuit.

Occasionally, though, I have to bring out my pistol and start whipping people. :eek: For someone who abhors violence, I prefer to avoid anything that offends my sensitive and oh so genteel nature
