Anyone get lucky for xmas in terms of having their partner do something extra special?
A little extra "ho ho ho" on xmas eve or day? Did she dress up as an elf and bring out some extra toys? Were you naughty? Did she slurp the stripes off yer candy cane?

Christmas Eve is the big day in Scandinavia, so Christmas Day is quite a lazy sleep in day if you're not the church kind and has to be there 06:00 am.
So I woke up with my morning wood in mrs mouth. This not a Christmas special. It happens a few times a year and is always a great way to wake up. Especially on a lazy morning.

What are everyone's plans for New Year's Eve and Day?
Asleep by 10:30pm? Partying hard with cocaine snorted off the cleavage of a porn star? Simple dinner with partner?
Chinese food? Big sammiches? Steak or Lobster or Sushi?

and then...the Rose parade? Football?

First time in 22 years we are alone without kids. So it will be a dressed up dinner for two and then the mood will guide the way........

I’m going to go the cocaine and porn Star route…

lol just kidding. I’m having a small group of friends over on NYE, we’ll snack and watch a movie or two. Then, NYD I’ll connect up with a larger group of friends for brunch.

I’m a tee-totaller (I quit drinking 40 years ago), so in my circle of friends those of us who don’t drink have gravitated into a hybrid-extended-adopted-family constellation to celebrate holidays and such.

I basically came to the conclusion years ago that, for me, drinking was a waste of money and the ceremony around drinking (bars, cocktail hour, hard parties) was a repetitive waste of time spent waiting for something to happen. I opted to stay sober and make things happen.

Work on New Year's Eve, hopefully have friends over but then I'm on call all New Year's Day. Any fun plans on your end? Haven't been on for a couple days. Was Christmas good? Went kayaking on the lake for the first time yesterday. I don't swim so it was a bit intimidating at first... One helluva good workout though. It was windy so we were fighting a surface current.

Many folks do - just not for me. I do have the cocktail basics here in my liquor cabinet so I can be a good host.

Being a good host is important, socially and culturally, for me.
