Good morning! To answer your question no nothing naughty and no elf dress up. How was your Christmas?

so its this fountain thats like...stone and several hundred pounds. we couldnt move it as much as we needed to...I mean me and my dad...and trying to lift it into a CAR. We got piece one into the car (probably 150 pounds or more?) and that was a beast...and we got lucky. I am strong but I am still small and not exactly a "unit"...ya know?
The second piece is about 300 pounds I'd guess. Bigger and much heavier than the first. We could get it on a dolly but I was like "Dad, no way are we getting that up/down stairs, and into a fucking SUV trunk etc...youll ruin your knees, back, get a fucking hernia, etc"
My mother agreed with me. As such, my father is going to see if he can find "three or four big strong men".
Guess my brother and I dont count. Hahaha.
Thank god actually.

I'm not saying we shouldn't dare to dream big, but in hindsight, it seems a little overly optimistic.

The problem is not only the heavy weights themselves, but also the fact that you need the right technique and equipment, and it's difficult to grip and hold, which you have to compensate for with brute force, and then you also have to move and lift it.

I am grateful and glad that common sense and insight won and no one was hurt!

So yes of course, my mother made us coffee and some snacks and then we moved the fountain. Partially (see post above).
I see my parents not every week, but pretty often.

If you were the daughter of "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones, I wouldn't say a word, but then your dad would be able to pack those "rocks" away by himself.

Joking aside, it seemed very steep to me at first, and it doesn't sound much better in hindsight, and I don't want to offend anyone with this.
My daughter would surely help if I asked her to, but it would never even occur to me to ask her to do something like that!
