I’m going to change the “lunch part in the thread title.😉

I would totally snack on a piece of bacon first. Then a bite of those little pastry looking things. I forget what they are called. But I’m hoping when I bite into one it’s apple 🍎 filled. I buy those all the time. I spy some sausage links to in there.

I’m lactose intolerant, but there’s only one kind of milk I can take. It’s a custard sold around this time of year at Whole Foods in this area. I swear, it’s so very rich and fresh that I only really drink that around this time of year. I’ll see if the stores have it by next weekend and post it then. It’s sold in Virginia.

There’s a lot of good stuff that can be considered awesome leftovers in this thread too.
 
It’s not all politics. We’ve got good food too.
To me that’s all fantastic leftover prep food. I would use the crab meat for a crab 🦀 meat Alfredo over linguine meal. The potatoes 🥔 for home fries , I like them with anything really as aside .

The sausage I would just snack on while getting the crab lump meat gathered. The corn 🌽 I would use as side dish with whatever I used the potatoes with except if I used them as breakfast 🍳 potatoes.
 
I did not know that Dungeness Crab was a DC thing. I figured they only had those little blue crabs over on that part of the east coast. While they taste good, it takes more energy to shell the blue crab than is in the meat, so it's kind like politics; lotsa talking and no nourishment.

You’ve got to know how to eat them. There are YouTube tutorials in how to open them or even how they are prepared so all you deal with are mostly the legs and the parts just above the legs. Blue crabs yes, but we have those too.

Kinda sorta, but at a backyard barbecue, it’s all about the company you bring, the food to feast on, the music you groove to and the fun you have.

Chuck Brown is a DC native and his music is a constant staple at a barbecue (at least of the ones I’ve been to).
