I’m going to change the “lunch part in the thread title.

I would totally snack on a piece of bacon first. Then a bite of those little pastry looking things. I forget what they are called. But I’m hoping when I bite into one it’s apple filled. I buy those all the time. I spy some sausage links to in there.

Yum , thank you I enjoy ice cold whole milk rather than coffee ️ with pastries in the morning. i Literally put ice cubes in the glass , I like it that cold.

The ice cube treat I’ve never done. I am very weird about milk I don’t drink it much other than with pastries or cookies and such. It has to be fresh fresh fresh or I’m like ewwww nope. I buy it only a quart at a time when I am craving it.

I’m lactose intolerant, but there’s only one kind of milk I can take. It’s a custard sold around this time of year at Whole Foods in this area. I swear, it’s so very rich and fresh that I only really drink that around this time of year. I’ll see if the stores have it by next weekend and post it then. It’s sold in Virginia.

To me that’s all fantastic leftover prep food. I would use the crab meat for a crab meat Alfredo over linguine meal. The potatoes for home fries , I like them with anything really as aside .

The sausage I would just snack on while getting the crab lump meat gathered. The corn I would use as side dish with whatever I used the potatoes with except if I used them as breakfast potatoes.

I did not know that Dungeness Crab was a DC thing. I figured they only had those little blue crabs over on that part of the east coast. While they taste good, it takes more energy to shell the blue crab than is in the meat, so it's kind like politics; lotsa talking and no nourishment.

You’ve got to know how to eat them. There are YouTube tutorials in how to open them or even how they are prepared so all you deal with are mostly the legs and the parts just above the legs. Blue crabs yes, but we have those too.

Chuck Brown is a DC native and his music is a constant staple at a barbecue (at least of the ones I’ve been to).

My music tastes are all over the place as well. I’m just not that into country though.
By the way, Chuck Brown is the Godfather of Go-Go in these parts. Here’s another Go-Go band that gained acclaim for having their song in Spike Lee’s movie School Days.

My mom won’t eat it. She would say there’s something wrong with it and won’t eat it. One of my brothers tried it and got his feelings hurt. She said, she taught him better than to make nasty stuff like that (I’m paraphrasing to keep it nice…lol). To this day, I can’t eat other people’s mac and cheese.
