Lit Chat people Vs. Lit Forum people

Many of us on the forums chat with others off lit.
Plus lit chat used to be notoriously unstable.

It is quite stable but has the (deliberate) habit of booting people due to inactivity, even if they are not engaged with the browser for just a couple of minutes. This is done to ensure the chat is not clogged with inactive users but is quite annoying and really hurts the experience on mobile.

On the forum, it seems the interactions are more organic like real life. You get to know a person over time. The different posts that happen little by little are what I like.

I would agree with this, though I have developed a couple close online relationships through chat. I enjoy the spontaneity and occasionally I connect with the person I chat with. I am enjoying the forums this time around, and I'm sure I have a lot to learn about them.

Yes, chat and forum people are different. Forum people are mostly normal and nice, while chat people are rude pigs.

The chat rooms are filled with Toads. Unfortunately for me that's where I've found most of my partners to be intimate with so I return there more than here. I tend to lurk there in the main rooms and respond to the women I'm interested in. For long term encounters we move to another platform once trust is established (there's a whole story there too)

I love reading the posts here in the forums but I've never made a sexy connection here. Friends, yes, but intimate exploration, no....sigh. Someday maybe I'll figure that out too!

I am sorry about the horrible experience you had. While I wouldn't say that the chat is a welcoming place, it shouldn't be so hostile and traumatic.
If you ever want to try again, make sure to focus on the small rooms.

I am a long time Lit member. For years I spent my time mostly in the chat rooms and it's only recently that I started to explore the forums.
I couldn't help but notice that Lit members are divided into two distinct groups: those that only interact in the chat rooms and those that only interact in the forums. In my experience there is little overlap.

Do you agree with this observation and why do you thing that is? Do you ever visit the chat rooms?

I so prefer Lit Chat

That's the beauty of the chat room. When there is a strong connection with a person (or even just a good roleplay dynamic) you can easily find yourself chatting with them for hours, sometimes even entire nights. And yes, it does feel quite amazing.

I’ve had the pleasure of being taken down some very sexy, kinky & freaky routes in chat. The anonymity is intoxicating. Yes it’s a quick hit, but it’s very non-judgemental, in my opinion. I would’ve never known about platforms such as unsee, chatcrypt, discord if I hadn’t ever ventured into chat.
