as usual
I agree with Hecate..
I have met many 'net' friends R/t and of that I have had only 1 bad (if u wanna call it that) expierence.
My sister and I were going on a business trip to Miami and decided to add a little pleasure with it. This guy I had met on the net helped me set up hotel accommodations. dinner reservations, and told us of some clubs that were a must see!! As a thank you we invited him out with us one night. Now I see nothing wrong with watching your $$ and getting the best bargains but this guy was down right embarrassing! He worked at an arcade in the mall and had his employee ID to prove it.. .everywhere we went he asked for a discount w/ his ID... even when I said I'd pay... You know how women are when they are going out.. don't wanna eat too much .. or they'll get bloated n stuff... well we decided to just snack b4 we went out but he was determined to eat so we went to a restuarant with him.. my sis and i just had cocktails while he ordered.. then remembered he didn't have his wallet...refused to let me pay.. left us there (1 1/2hr) to go get his wallet at home... when he returned his food was on the table.. cold...can you believed he showed his ass and refused to pay?? ughhhh we decided we needed to lose him... was no being nice and telling him straight.. he had already said as much that i 'owed' him a lil visit back to my hotel room for the favors he did us... so we made a pit stop at a lil dive to play pool and darts... he made such an ass of himself there that the bouncer threw him out.... then he tried to tell the bouncer he was from out of town, that he came to miami with us and all his stuff was in our car... haha (luckily we had met him at his job and he had his own car) the bouncer told him to beat it b4 he needed to cal lan ambulance *lol* can we spell jerk with a capitol L.O.S.E.R.?!?!
I know things can (and sometimes do) turn out a lot worse.. the thing is to just be wise and smart.. and as mentioned before.. meet in a very public place for the initial meeting
