Little Known Facts About Your Fellow Litsters

Here's another one. I crochet. Afghans are my specialty. I'm making one for my girl AJ and her hubby now. I love all the pretty yarn colors available now.

I too love comics

I mean, heck, look at my avatar.

And despite never having submitted anything to Lit (somewhat intimidated by the talent out there... and the sheer volume of some writers' submissions), I would love to make a living as a writer.

I crochet too. My first mother in law taught me years ago. I like to make baby clothes and baby blankets because they are quick and easy, even tho I dont have any kids.

You may not know, but I hate television. Don't get me wrong, I will watch, but usually movies. And when I do find a "show" or series that I like, I still can't be bothered to sit and actually watch it for the duration.

I've played guitar ever since I was just a kid. No formal lessons mind you, just taught myself to play. That and some other musical instruments also. I just bought a new Taylor 214-E Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar. And it is sweet. And a new amp to match it.

What a great idea for a thread, Ima! I love it!

Let's see... Little known fact about me... I've been fortunate enough to deliver 2 babies, and also be with someone as they took their last breath. Where some people may not consider that fortunate, I look at it as a gift. I was able to be there for someone so they wouldn't have to die alone, and also able to be there to welcome a new life.

Very true. My father has very little time left (Cancer) I hope I can be with him when the curtains draw for the last time on him!

Here's a few more from me.

I have a didgeridoo, even though I don't know how to play it. I just love how the music they make sounds.

I have the dialogue from the first Ghostbusters movie almost completely committed to memory.

I hope that for you, as well. I'm very sorry to hear that your father has cancer. (hugs)

Awesome! Didgeridoo's are waaaay cool!

Isn't it just FUN when random movie quotes can be put into regular conversation, though? I made a few Back to the Future references today, and someone actually caught on! Ha ha - it cracked me up. ( but then again, I'm kinda dorky like that?! )

I'm a HUGE dork! I wear my dorkiness as a badge of honor :) The license plate frame on my car says "My other car is Optimus Prime." Yes, I'm a dork and proud of it :D

BTW, Anita, Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies. I especially like the part when Biff drives his car into the manure truck.

I can walk and read a book at the same time... on a good day, I can add singing to that, but then it tends to end up as more of a shuffle/wiggle/skip than a walk. It's a very under-appreciated skill.

That's cool! I envy those people at the gym that can read while on the eliptical or treadmill. I've tried, and only managed to read the same paragraph repeatedly! Ha ha!

Even though I'm a yank, my life long dream has been to work/write for the BBC. Especially on Doctor Who.

I read and keep the plots straight for up to fifteen books at once, switching from one to another as I finish one or as the mood strikes me ...

can you teach me how to read and keep one straight

when I read it I can keep it straight

but I can't manage for the life of me to keep it in me after I have read it

researchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

it's maddening

its a little known fact about me
I can not function in a logic driven world
it makes my mind short circuit
and get all illogical

I'm pretty good if I mix up my genres a bit. Reading 5 police procedural mysteries at once was a bit much at times. Also helps if the character names don't cross. I did a bit of backtracking the night my novel had the same main character name as a shorter novella I was reading at work on my lunch break. Not sure I've hit 15 at once though.

As a pathological reader, I have have no trouble, even amongst the same genre; however, after fifteen things get a bit muddled. I once juggled twenty for about two months until I lost track of where I was in two of them and realized it was too much.

The used bookstore I used to frequent was used to selling me books by the yard. On a monthly basis ...
