With the poll on which virgin needs to get laid, I thought it would be interesting to ask a related question of non-virgins.

So ex/non-virgins. What is the longest time you have gone without sex (after loosing it)?

Hmhh i said one month even though it was more like 3 i think. Between 2 and 3 months was the longest time since i lost my virginity. I don't know if i could handle that again. If you average it out now i am getting sex almost once a day and I only see my gf friday evening through sunday afternoon and sometimes less.

Yeah, not a terribly scientific poll; relatively exact lengths would have to be collected and then put into a histograph, and it should also be categorized by age and length of time active (how long since loss of virginity), and of course an exact definition of what "sex" is as some might be confused about that after the previous White House resident muddied up those waters.

Only ever so slightly; I have written some software to collect simple data and graph it. Among various projects, one s/w package tracked spinal trauma therapy outcomes, another collected and tracked information (length, throughput, data rate) about data signals bounced off meteorites ( http://www.meteorcomm.com/mbc-detail.htm ).

The cool thing about being a software engineer is that you get into a lot of different and interesting problem domains. I have learned that nothing is as simple as it seems.

Stats can be very boring or very interesting depending on how it is taught.

Hmm, longest time without sex since losing my virginity at age 23. I'd say about 5 years. The final three years with my first husband, who was dying and couldn't/wouldn't/didn't. Then two years of widowhood before meeting husband #2. I dated during those 2 years, but nobody I wanted to go to bed with. Frank was different...he French-kissed me on our 2nd date, leaving me fantasizing/obsessing about what his tongue would feel like in, umm, another place. I don't know if that poll has been done or not, but still, the longest time I have gone without sex in my life is 17 years. After that, I think somewhere around or close to a year may be accurate.

It is interesting to note that over 20% of respondents chose 1-2 decades. I wonder how many of those mistakenly selected that as the time before virginity?

The other selections of 1 day to 5 years seem to show a normal distribution curve with 1 year (or more) seeming to be the norm. I can't find the results of any such survey on the 'net - just frequency, which is different.

I had to pick a decade because it has been 8yrs...closest to that than 5yrs
