Lost city.( vampire, lycan etc roleplay,Open to all)

Garnet was still a little awed by what her abilities were. Her magic, her Power....it made up for the pain, the fact that she was...different.....a tiny bit.

"I cannot live with my Mentor like this. Not with me being....this way."

She couldn't bear saying what she was...the idea still appalled her. Everything would be different now...she would no longer age.....no longer carry a child to continue her ancestoral lineage......but she would think of that later.

Now was a time to focus on the present. She knew that Talia could foce her to do whatever she wished if she refused. She tried to quell her anger towards her. She needed to know more about her predictament before she tried to stir up trouble.

"No. No, of course not. Well, if you wish to ... we will go to where you live ... and collect any thing you wish to have with you. My ... apartment is roomy, as I have few needs beyond a dark place to sleep days. "

I found the current situation surprisingly .. awkward. I had won, and she was beginning to realize her potential. And yet, there was still that tension. Doubtless, it would remain, though I hoped sincerely that it would never erupt into full conflict. I didn't desire to fight Garnet any longer.

"Well, you know your self. Do you need to feed again? If not, we will grab what you Need, and retire to the apartment. Then, Dawn permitting, we can explore your powers further."

She listened to Talias words, and even snippets of her thoughts. It was quite unnerving.

"I cannot go back...there are...certain charms that will not allow kinds like us to pass....and I will not remove to protect my Mentor. I will deal with what I have now."

Tension. It was in the air. She fidgeted. Garnet didn't like this tension anymore than Talia apparently did. But there were still quite a few emotions stirring in her, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she had been violated.

" I will not feed again tonight."

I nodded, once more a wave of sorrow, of pity, came over me.

"Well, then. The night is open, as I also am satiated with no further need to feed. You need to explore your powers ... have you any charms you need to sell tonight? We shall do that first if you do."

She shook her head. Selling charms were the least of her worries now. At least, she thought so.

"Tell me more...about how to be what i am now....please...."

She kept her voice formal, even. She was ready to learn, even with the hints of anger still in her against her Creator.

I smiled widely.

"Of course, Garnet dear. I will hide nothing. As a vampire, you need to do two things to survive.
"First, you must avoid sunlight. As you grow in power, you will be better able to withstand sunlight. I, for example, being over two thousand years old, can withstand a full eight hours of sunlight, though I will be weakened and somewhat hurt. You, as a new vampire, would be instantly burnt, severely, at the slightest touch of sunlight.
"Second, you must feed on blood. You needn't kill -- though you will, eventually do so. The last drop of blood is always the sweetest. Some subsist on blood-wine, any number of different brews of blood and wine that is both delicious and intoxicating. The blood doesn't need to be drunk from a living person, indeed you needn't drink human blood at all. But, if you do not drink blood, you will die."

I watched, and listened both with my ears and my mind, to know Garnet's reactions to these basic truths of her new existence.

Garnets mind threatened to cloud over in a mixture of hate and frustration. All of this she knew! She had learned of these since catering to her....clients.

She turned her back to the vampire who had made her. She was angry, confused, unable to think ahead...or of the life, or unlife, she would now have to leave.

My own anger grew to a sharp, white-hot level, and without making any effort to mitigate it allowed that anger to slam into Garnet's mind with the force of a physical blow.

"If you know this, then why ask? You wish to know how to be a vampire? What more is there to say? How did you learn to be a human? Did your parents sit you down after birth and spoon-feed you every lesson you would ever need? No, of course not! You must experience to learn, and my duty to you is to assure you learn lessons well, and do not submerge your self in anything you cannot extract your self from. If you prefer not to have my help, then I can simply leave you. I wish you all manner of luck ... but I would not wager you to survive past the night.
"Garnet, I know you hate me. So be it. I also know you have the will to survive, and you have a greed, no, a lust for power. Gems you crave, not for the wealth, but for the potions and spells they can be made into in your skilled hands. Garnet. Think! You don't have to take on clients any longer. What gem is safe from you now? Your magics you can use to aspire toward power. You can gain allies, dispose of enemies, gain an army of loyal associates .. and if you survive enough centuries .. those associates can be to you what you are to me."

I focused on her mind. Deep, deep within her. The tentacles of my thought wrapped tightly around her mind, overwhelming any resistance therein.

*Feel this? I know you do. Do you feel my will overlaying, displacing your own? Turn to me, approach me. You cannot resist. If you try, it will result in searing pain*

((OOC: Welcome to the thread, PredatorX. It's been kinda quiet, as I am waiting for my gals Aliyah and BlackOpal to return. Still, welcome, and maybe with luck someone else with a character in this thread will post and RP some! *nudgenudge!*))

As he walked slowly through the night of this new city, Laurent felt the presence of several other vampires in the distance. The power he felt from them differed very much. Some very young and at least one he sensed was very old and powerful. Even if he was old himself he did not assume he was the oldest there was in this city. As his long experience had taught him. Stay away from other vampires until you knew their intention. That especially applied when you where new to a city as he was. With no connections, he was very vulnerable.

His all to known hunger reminded him that he had not fed for about a week now. The hunt that always had aroused him was boring. No fun. these days the only purpose for his hunting was the goal, not the hunt itself. He shrugged of the thought and kept on walking to the nearest bar he could find. Bars and pubs was the easiest way for him to find his lonely and love seeking victims.

He drew his grey trenchcoat closer to his body as he kept walking in his slow pace with no other aim than his next meal.

OOC: Sorry for the delay. Been a bit busy.

Ryanna tilted her head a bit. “Oh, is that so? There must be something then. Back home, there were quite a few humans who knew about us.”

She shrugged, taking a drink as she puzzled about what is going on in this city.
OOC: Well, I'm just gonna walk out, since he hasn't responded.

IC:
Ryanna downs the rest of her drink, and smiles at Tyler. "Well, I'm gonna run. I hope I see you around."

She stands, slapping some cash on the counter to cover the drinks then turns to leave. Ryanna strolls out the door and into the cool night. She takes a deep breath of the crisp air and starts down the street.

Walking down the street Laurent came to the entrance of a night club. His hunger convinced him to enter. He walked towards the doors but was stopped by a bull of a man.

"Stop there you, none more to enter. No place for none other than gals" the bouncer said with a smirk on his face.

Laurent felt the urger to remove the hand that the bouncer had holding at his shoulder from the bouncers arm. Instead he smiled pleasantly, showing of his perfect smile. Looking the bouncer straight in the eyes he spoke softly.

"Let me in my friend, i am sure you have room for me in there"

The bouncers eyes was locked to Laurents as he nodded.

"Of course sir, this way please" He stepped aside and let Laurent enter the club.

ooc- Sorry its been final exams, plus a new bf...so i've been pretty hectic.

ic-

She felt the blow in her mind, but refused to let it show. Her hand went to her forehead as she felt the pain. She wanted to leap, to do what her powers would let her.

But then she felt the unmistakable command. One she knew she couldn't disobey. She slowly turned as if someone else were controlling her...and hesitently took steps closer to Talia.

Garnets eyes showed fear. Showed anger. But she knew Talia was right. At least at the moment. Her anger distilled to quiet acceptance.

Laurent stood at the bar in the club, searching for the right victim with his eyes. The club was full of life. Many women but not so many men. Could work in his favor he thought to himself with a thin smile on his lips.

His eyes rested on a young brunette. She was on the dancefloor, dancing seductively. She was wearing a short shirt and top.

His gaze transfered to a drunk redhead further down the bar.

Smiling to himself he thought he had some options here. He just could pick someone and drain her empty.

I noticed him almost immediately as he walked in the club. Very aristocratic, very foreign; or at least foreign to me. He was an old one that much I could tell. Why he did not immediately sense me, I had no idea, but I figured it was probably because I was still so human, perhaps my scent blended in with the gyrating humans in the place.

I let my gaze rest on him, openly staring, watching as he scanned the dance floor for a victim. With a smirk on my lips, I slid off the bar stool somewhat clumsily and began sidling past the human females that seemed to cluster near the bar.

"What is a sexy ass vampire like you doing in a place like this?" I let the thought float across the room to him while letting my eyes burn into his body. I'd like to say it was the alcohol, but it wasn't. It was just the need to be close to someone, feel someone's body close to mine, that peskily lingered from my human days. Who knew if he would hurt me, who really cared. I felt a bit lightheaded and knew I wasn't thinking very clearly; if I had been, I would have been much more wary of him.

(ooc: No worries. That kinda comes first)

I smiled, and gently cupped a hand around Garnet's head.

"Good. Now, you understand. Unlife depends first and foremost upon power. Come, I will take you to a place, you know it I believe, where you can observe without being observed .. where you .. we .. can blend into a crowd, and reach out to feel others' minds, and drink in their scents, and even taste of the quality of their blood."

The club was the ideal place for the lessons that Garnet needed. We could be there in relative safety until it was time to retire to my apartment for the day....

"What is a sexy ass vampire like you doing in a place like this?"

The voice in his head was clearly feminine. Laurent sensed her youth. young, so very young. Not the brightest there is he thought to himself. He sensed a need in her though. Something that had thrown her self preservance overboard.

Why hadn´t he sensed her before he wondered. even as she was so newly made, that had not happened before.

Suddenly he saw her standing not that far away, looking at him. Locking her eyes with his gaze he let his thought reach her mind.

"Not very smart of you little one, as you don´t know my intentions or who i am"

Keeping her gaze locked with his, a small smile appears on his lips.

"Aww, yes so young, so little." I thought back to him. "What ever will you do to me?" I let a small smirk cross my face. Yes, this little game could be dangerous. The unknown was calling me, though and I glided closer to him, quickly until I was less than five inches from him.

"So, I'm here now," I said aloud. "Do what you will." I could feel my eyes burning as they did when I was hunting for human prey. Yes, taunting this ancient was a little game to me, although perhaps the game wouldn't end well. At that moment, I didn't really care.

she walkes up to them and says hi my names akasha as she just watches them do what there doin she cant look away from them she looks with intent eyes she wants to join but shes dont want to say anything for fear of gettin drained she just watches with the thought in the back of her mind if anyone finds out that im the mother to all vampires then i might be drained

Garnet nodded. She knew of the club, of the lycans and vamps that would stalk the place. SHe had had a lot of good customers there.

"Yes it is perfect."

She closed her eyes and turned her face into Talia's hand as it stroked her cheek.

I smiled at Garnet, leaned close to her, and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead .. a gesture tender enough that it even surprised myself for a moment.

I led Garnet to the street, where a cab sat waiting. I grinned widely as the blank-eyed cabbie got out and opened the door, gesturing to Garnet to enter.

"Power," I repeated in a hissed whisper.

===

We hardly arrived in style, pulling up to the club in a rather pedestrian taxi, but nevertheless the cabbie again opened the door for Garnet, bowing low to her and offering to assist her out.

I again smiled to Garnet as she was helped out of the cab, and offered my arm to her, to lead her into the club. I could tell already that it was busy tonight. Aurelia was there, as was another vampire, a youngling from my perspective, but quite old for Aurelia, let alone Garnet.

*Take care, my golden one. You may be biting off more than you can chew* My mental tone was playful as I sent this to Aurelia, and I didn't particularly worry about shielding my thought from either the male vampire she was flirting with, nor with my youngling Garnet.

*Tonight, use all your senses, new and old. Look at every one and every thing in every possible way you can. You have an advantage, with your magics. Use every advantage you have.*

This I sent only to Garnet. I wasn't certain if Aurelia could sense the thought due to her close bond with my self, but it was nevertheless clearly intended only for my young Thrall ....

"Aww, yes so young, so little. What ever will you do to me?" Her thought echoed in his mind. Keeping his eyes locked with hers Laurent saw her quickly glide to stand right in front of him.

"So, I'm here now, do what you will." She said aloud With her eyes burning with a green fantastic color.

Keeping his smile in place Laurent reached out and stroked her on the side of her neck, just like a lover would.

At that moment he sensed something ancient that was close by.

"Take care, my golden one. You may be biting off more than you can chew"
The thought sounded distant.

Hesitating for just one second, then drew the female vampire closer to him. As to give her a kiss. Just before their lips would meet he turned her head to the side and whispered in her ear.

"I could crush your airpipe or break your neck like a twig if i desire to do so my dear..."

I shuddered as he drew me close, not from fear, but from desire. His lips so close to my neck reminded me briefly of my earlier fling with death at Talia's hand, and yet again I was vulnerable. Only this time I didn't care. I was more concerned with the heat of his body pressing into me.

"You could, mi amor, but what fun would that be?" I relaxed into his grasp, brought my arms around his neck. Just as I was alone now, he was alone. I could sense his aimlessness just as well as I sensed Talia and Garnet entering the club. "I see you hungering over this little brunette over there. And your eyes seduce as well as my voice does. Why not have a little fun?" I smiled lightly, felt his lips brush my neck. "Or you could harm me, and continue your aimless existence."

To Talia I returned her warning with "I won't bite this one. Although perhaps he has something that I can swallow instead of chew." I half-heartedly shielded this thought from the new vampire, and left it there for Garnet to hear. Then I blocked both her and Talia from my mind; there was too much going on between them and I wanted rather to concentrate on what I had next to me.
