Lost in Space: IC

Dr. Asma Fabis

"It doesn't really matter, for we need both if we don't find the way out to soon. Besides, we don't have a map of this place. I suggest we just go on moving together and we will see what we find first." she looked around and wondered why she was among this men, who looked like soldiers.

Gabriel Thorn

"Well common sense dictates that there should be a map on the computer or even a map on a wall near a door or down a corridor. I would advise to find a light source because these lights seems a bit off and for heaven's sake, I feel naked without armor and a weapon"

He looked back at Leo, the feeling that he knew him just didn't want to leave him, then the name tag came up in his mind like a flashback

"Well I don't know you're name, but your surname is Storm, that much I can remember, just don't ask me how I remember, it just came to me"

He turned his attention back the female

"Well then, I think the lady has something going there, we should stick together, I just hope we find water because I just got to get this taste out of my mouth"

Dr. Asma Fabis
"I don't want to stay her longer then necessary. I don't recall how I came here, and nobody was able to tell me so far. But I recall that I had some most urgent things to do, so let us go and find at least something." She looked at the men. She was not really old and looked younger then she was, but as far as she could tell, all of them were younger then her. Strange.

Jake Anastasio

Jake nodded, "Ok, we go after the water first and keep an eye out for a map, Asma has the only flashlight and if it goes out then we`ll be going blind."

Jake walked back to the door and into the hallway. Left or right he thought to himself. Either direction would suit him fine since they both went on into darkness.

Jake turned to his companions, "Well, what directoin do we choose, left or right?"

Dr. Asma Fabis

"O.K., left." said Asma and pointed the flashright into the direction.

Leo Storm

Leo looked over at Gabriel. He said his name was Storm. Storm..Storm...an electrical storm...he visibly flinched as a memory smashed into him.

He saw a platoon of special operations troops moving through a heavy downpour of rain. A small group of marine infantry, most bleeding through rough bandages, were being escorted through the center. Standing above the group on a set of overhanging rocks were two men. Dressed in all black, one standing and wearing a set of green NVGs with a rifle slung over his shoulder with a Major patch on his shoulder. His dog tags read "Major John Alenko". The second was kneeling with a high caliber rifle in his hands wearing red NVGs. His tags read "Leautenant Leo Storm". There is movement in the rocks around them. Several armed troops step into the open and begin firing on the group. A round from an experimental Tesla Cannon smashes into the Leautenant as he stands. He tumbles down the rocks, smoking. Alive, barely.

Leo came to and shook his head to clear his thoughts. He followed the group silently, mulling over what he just saw. He still didn't know how he got here, but he did know his rank, at least, and what he did before he came here.

Jake Anastasio

Jake walked with the others down the left side passage. They went on for a few meters before coming to an four way intersection. Along the wall beside Asma was a large map and when he examined it with the light provided by the flashlight, he was struck dumb.

He shook his head, "That`s impossible!" then Jake turned to his companions gestured at the map. "Guy`s, I think you need to take a look at this."

The map was 2 ft x 3 ft and it showed the entire structure they were in was about 10 miles long, 4 miles wide, with a depth of 3.5 miles. "This place that we`re in is larger than anything I`ve seen before."

Gabriel Thorn

He peeked over Jake's shoulder, then reached out placing his finger on a name

"U.S.S. Galliant? Never heard of that name, it doesn't even ring a bell. At least we know that we are on a ship"

He looked around at the group

"We have three army guys and a Doctor, something just doesn't smell right about this"

Dr. Asma Fabis

Asma realized that Mr. Thorn got something wrong. "Sorry, I am not a doctor of medicine. I work in the council of the economic advisers, for the affairs of the arabian world. I am economist." she looked at the map. She wasn't a technician, but had seen enough to guess that this looked like the map of a giant spaceship, although she could not tell of which nation or what type.
"Do you really mean, we are in a spaceship?"

Gabriel Thorn

He looked at her and shrugged

"You're a doc, if you know medicine or not, you have that Dee Are in front of your name not true?"

He gave a dry chuckle and then looked at the map again

"A space ship?"

He studied the map and then it struck him, she was right, it was a spaceship

"All hush hush wasn't it? We had a mission and that is why Marine presence was required..."

He looked at Leo

"But you...you're no Marine, you must have some other reason for being here"

He sighed

"Gawd let's just get some water"

Dr. Asma Fabis

So, was this just a map or were they really on a spaceship? But why her? The young men were from the military, this could make sense, but why put a doctor of economics among them?
"Allright, I feel dried up myself. Maybe we find some water."

Jake Anastasio

Jake looked at the map and found that they weren`t very far from the kitchens, just a few minutes down the passage to there left.

His companions followed him to the rooms and found that this room was also pitch black, "The power must be out in the entire ship. After we find some food and water, we`re going to the generator rooms, I`m tired of this darkness.

Gabriel Thorn

"Doesn't any of you find it kind of strange that we woke up in a room with some light, but so far it seems like the rest of the ship is out of light and power?"

He looked around, apart from the beam and backwash from lighted objects, there wasn't even a flicker of light anywhere

Dr. Asma fabis

Asma pointed the light around and hoped it would last long enough. Finally she saw some tabs and hoped they would be water.
"The cyro-beds and the computer have power, too. Very odd."

Jake Anastasio

Jake laughed at them, "It was emergence back-up power which is used as a last chance approach. Plus we`ve only been in cryo room and the hallway and were just entering the cafe. So unless you know for sure, don`t guess that everything is odd. After all a hallway and cafe don`t need emergency lighting, their not being used and if they were they`d drain the emergency power levels needed to keep all the other important systems up and running."

Angel Raven

Angel woke from startling dreams. There was gunfire, rain, and a flash of lightning. She bolted upright. A tube was stuck down her throat, and needles in her arms. She idly pulled them out and pulled the tube from her throat. She was in a cryo tube, that much she could remember. She even knew her name. Angel Raven. Pvt. Raven. Yes, she had been a medic serving in some unit. She had formal training as a doctor, however. She looked forward and pressed against the glass. It slid open soundlessly. She stepped out into the room. It was filled with several other tubes, some of which were open and one seemed forced open. She turned around and saw a locker next to her tube. She opened it. Inside was a jumpsuit, medpack, and flashlight. She pulled the jumpsuit over her lacy white bra and panties.

That was another interesting thing. She never slept in those. At any rate, she looped the pack over her shoulder and set off into the only open hallway. She flicked on her flashlight and walked. She took a turn here and there and ironically found another group. She heard one comment on the lights and another voice concur. Then a third voice spoke up. He sounded arrogant and she got the feeling she wouldn't like him at all. But they were survivors, and she would deal. She stepped into the room. Two men looked militarial and very familiar. One turned to her and she picked up on his name immediately. Gabriel Thorne, a marine from the platoon being escorted. What platoon? What? Her mind blanked out on her. Great. She looked to the second. He seemed dangerous. Even more so than Gabriel. He wasn't a marine. He was...

She was no real military woman, being a doctor and having only served one mission in the armed forces , she hadn't even learned combat. She was purely a doctor, but understood he was ranking officer. Her hand snapped up in a salute.

"Lt. Storm." she said respectfully.

Lt. Storm. The man who saved her life more than once in just one mission. The man was a god on the field.

Gabriel Thorn

"Well knock me over with a feather and call me Dolly"

He smiled as he recognized Angel

"Private Raven, finally we have some medical assistance, now we just need to find a way to restore power, get weapons and try to get our minds back...not in that particular order though"

He ran a hand through his short hair, why the hell was he babbling like a girl on prom night? He shrugged and looked about.

"So do we try the taps or what?"

Leo Storm

Leo looked towards the movement he heard and the source of the second light. He knew this woman. Pvt. Raven. Angel Raven. Brief flashbacks and confusing memories accompanied the name. He was gaining bits and pieces. Still not enough to remember why he was here. Why any of them were here. He noticed the salute and she called him Lt. Storm. He supposed that it was the proper way to address him, but this was an unusual situation. Leautenant, Leautenant. He had been restricted from earning a higher rank than that. Why that was, he couldn't remember.

"At ease." Leo said to Angel. Her arm lowered.

He turned his head slightly to look at Gabriel. Why he hadn't saluted when Leo's rank was revealed was interesting. He turned back to Angel.

"What all do you remember?" he asked in his standard, low voice.

Jake Anastasio

Jake looked at the newcomer then turned back. Suddenly he had a flashback.

He was in a helicopter, flying over the New Siberian Islands in Russia. His team was tasked with capturing a military base with several missile silos. They had just taken a shot from an ATG vehicle and the helicopter was spinning outwards towards the earth. Someone shouted, "Evasive manuvers, Echo Base, we`re going down, we`re g- then Jae was thrown from his seat and into darkness.

Jake snapped back to reality looked back at his companions. "Lets go everyone, gother what you can."

Gabriel Thorn

"Sir yes sir,"

He made his voice sound as disrespectful as he could go without making it obvious. As he moved off to a shelf he had seen for a second as the flashlight passed over it. He mumbled to himself:

"Pity we don't have light to make this search for gathering everything easier..."

Still mumbling he mimicked Jake's voice,

"After all a hallway and cafe don`t need emergency lighting..."

He scoffed softly,

"Sure could have helped if they had some sort of godamned emergency lighting in here, at least then I would know what the fuck I was..."

He crashed into the shelf and swore as bottles, trays, cutlery and plates crashed onto the ground.

"Walking into,"

He looked over his shoulder as the lights from the flashlights focused on him

"Oh look guys, I found us some bottles to carry water in"

Angel Raven

She didn't like him. The third man was just too arrogant for her tastes. She glanced to Lt. Storm. Shouldn't he be in command? She just shook her head and went with it.

"I don't remember much." she started. "Bits and pieces. I don't know why we're here, though."

She shook her head again and went to searching the room. Gabriel called out something about water. She turned to him, finding nothing herself. She glanced over at Lt. Storm again, then over to the "leader" of the group. It didn't seem right. Surely the El-Tee has something in mind?

Jake Anastasio

Jake could tell that the others didn`t like him and treated him with distain and distrust. He shook his head, this was not what was suppost to happen. They should be trusting and helpful, after all, they were all in the same situation.

Jake respected Leo, the man seemed to want the same thing as Jake, to get out of this situation alive and quickly.

Gabriel and the new girl both seemed to dislike him.

Jake was still uncertain of Asma, but he didn`t hold any grudge against at all.

Jake grabbed a few boxes of what seemed to be nonparishable goods along with a few bottles of water and set them down on a table. Jake grabbed on of the waters and took a quick drink. Afterwords Jake grabbed a flashlight and headed out to the hallway and went back to the map.

Jake decided to leave the others to take care of themselves, he needed to get to the generator room. Scanning the map, he found something of interest, a security room! From the map it wasn`t very far away. Maybe, after he got the power back on, he`d be able to see what had happened to this place on a security recording? Also a generator room was located next to the security room.

Jake smiled to himself as he ran down the hallway to his destination, hoping he`d be able to find out what had happened here.

Leo Storm

Leo slipped out of the dark room. He wanted a look at that map again. Learn the ship better. Knowledge is often your best weapon in a battle, and intel was something he was very good with. He stepped up to the map and studied it. Generator was there, and the security room next to it. He could use the cameras to find out what happened, maybe splice some connections and find out what they're doing on this rig. He heard footsteps coming towards him. Heavy footsteps, as in someone running. He turned. His eyes had since adjusted to the darkness. He had spent a lot of time in the dark, and his night vision had developed very well.

It was that Jake fellow sprinting down the hall away from the others. Leo stepped over and tripped the man as he tried to run by. He hit the ground with a nice thud. Leo stepped over to him, kicked the flashlight away, and nudged him onto his back with his foot. He then proceeded to plant a boot on the man's chest to stop him going anywhere. He looked down at the man.

"Going somewhere?" he asked dryly, a cold fire burning in his eyes.

(I think we can assume it was too dark for Jake to see Leo, thus him being able to trip him even though he would have managed it in the light anyhow. We could also assume that with Leo's frightening countenence that Jake would be at least semi-afraid and wouldn't try fighting back. Cause let's face it, if a guy like Leo had you pinned to the ground, you would be startled, to say the least. Especially you non-militarial types. Or, in Jake's case, small time HOS job that wouldn't prepare him for dealing with Leo or Gabriel.)

Jake Anastasio

Jake felt himself fall face first on the floor with a loud thump accompanied by a loud crack. Suddenly pain, like white hot needles being stabbed into his nose and jaw. He felt himself being turned over and then a foot pressing down on his chest. When he looked up, Jake saw Leo standing over him with angry look.

"Going somewhere?" he heard Leo ask. Then there was a white light.

Jake was running down a hallway with the rest of his team. Everyone had survived the helicopter crash except for the pilot. Jake lead the way down a flight of stairs and into a huge room with many chairs behind computers, all facing a huge screen that showed a map of the world. "Jake, hack the main computer, you`ve got to stop those ICBM`s before they reach the U.S. Jake tried to but was interrupted when a group of Russian soldiers rushed into the room. As fire fight went off and at one point. Jake found himself knocked down the ground by a Rusian. The man put his foot on Jake and looking at Jake with hatred, "Time to die dirty capitalist"

Jake came back to the present. Jake tried to speak, but it hurt to move his jaw. It was probably broken. He felt blood running out of his nose and could taste some in his mouth.

Jake didn`t like what was happening but, he knew one thing. These people were not friendly at all.

Gabriel Thorn

He watched Jake rush out after checking the map and frowned. This guy really acted weird, first they must stick together and the next moment he went off running all by his ownsome. He shrugged and walked over to the boxes, pulling out food and inspecting the water, he opened one bottle and drank as much as he could, it was not cold, but it was water and it washed away the taste. He looked over at Angel and realized that it was just Asma, Angel and him left in the cafeteria

"Well seems like the Lieutenant and Captain have went out to find something else to do. I'm going to find the Lieutenant, it's time we had a talk as it seems like you also know him. Maybe we three can figure out more about who we are"
