Lost in translation

A "soccer mom" is a term, originating in the 1990s US, for a suburban, middle-class mother who spends significant time transporting school-age children to sports, especially soccer. She is typically characterized as a dedicated, organized, and busy parent focused on supporting her children's extracurricular activities.
