Can you tell if someone is telling the truth or lying?

Depends. I can generally suss out the big lies because people tell me too much detail, they use embracing body language to assert a false intimacy, and when I call them on it they either melt or overreact.

People who tell the truth rarely get upset at being asked to defend their truth.
