"I can't believe it, I like all kinds of music, but when it comes to blues Stevie Ray Vaughn is my favorite too. If you haven't heard them yet, you should check out the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. The sound is eerily similar to Vaughn. I would be glad to let you borrow my CD." Winking at her, " I think I can trust you with it. Besides, it would give me an excuse to come back in here. Not that I really need to make one up." Carl stares into her eyes, searching for answers to questions he is afraid to ask. "You have been so hospitable. I have so enjoyed the pleasure of your company, and you even bought me a drink. Please allow me to return the favor by being my guest for dinner at the restaurant. And please bring your dad. I would like a chance to impress him before I ask for his daughters hand in marriage." Carl laughs and winks, "Ok, just kidding about the marriage thing, at least for now."
Her eyes twinkle with laughter again. She turns to him blushing and says: "I don't know if Da is ready to get rid of me just yet. Though I have never known him to pass up a good meal whatever the reason. Besides don't ya think you should be asking me before him any way. Maybe I'm not the marrying kind of gal." She says with a wink.
"As for the music I believe I have heard of them. Isn't he the one that sings 'Blue on Black'? I haven't bought that cd yet. I would like to borrow it. Maybe you can bring it to dinner with you?"
She looks back at Carl quietly taking in his face. Wondering how this stranger had charmed her so quickly? Why did she feel the need to tell him everything about her. She is so entrenched in her thoughts that she didn't hear him speak again.
