Your point is valid and understandable. A whole story does not a busty woman or well endowed man make. There is a whole tapestry of thoughts waiting to tantalize a reader. In erotica as in other works a reader/listener enjoys the effect of stories that are full of relatable characters in some way. I can follow you down a steep path if you give me a railing of sorts. A cookie cutter story is boring and if we are realistic, hinging an entire "experience" of the mind on a repeated stereotypical scene is weak craft.

I found Lit a while ago and have been able to really enjoy some amazing stories here. A lot of the best ones seem to have been posted quite a while ago, and so far I have not read enough to find myself running out of options. Plus I have a wider genere of interests.

Like other posters in this thread, I am finding stories become more exaggerated, and I don't mean in terms of fantasies etc, but in terms of realistic fantasies. I would be the first person to admit I am reading and drafting my own stories based on fantasies that turn me on, and that in reality I would not or could not realise, isn't that what fantasies are for, after all?

But, when we I am reading more and more about 'proportioned' people I wonder if the average person is discribed any more. It's like science fiction and fantasy stories and movies. We all know that they wild fiction, but there has to be something believable about them. we have to be able to believe that they could happen for us to enjoy them.

Beyond the stories I am starting to explore the forums and hoping to connect with some cool people.

For the stories. But the good ones the authors are dropping off here and there. Some of the more popular ones I personally don’t see it. My current favorite stopped posting last year. Now it is slim pickings and what would make me stop reading a story I have to have an open mind because the writing might make it worth the effort. Usually anything bigger than 7 inches and tits past DD’s I would bail. But good quality writing around like back in the hay day isn’t like what it used to be. So now I have to deal with oversized cocks and tits just to get a stimulating story.

I get one person's yum is another's yuck but seriously, not everything has to be grotesquely proportioned, not every sexual encounter involves 50 shades of bull crap or a werewolf. I miss an actual good storyline and rounded characters.

See I find this funny. Yeah, the ridiculous proportions are quite popular. But seems like everything I go to read these days is 30 pages long. People need to learn to break their stories into chapters.

AFF had user blogs. Anything I wrote was posted there. Thinking back, that was 20ish years ago ~sigh~ There were some IMHO fabulous works by creative people. Some of it was just a narrative of everyday life, others were stories, similar to what you would find here.
