So without a context this cannot be answered in a one line answer. Do you and your wife currently have an active sex life together. I bought a cage just coming into October myself - then have since told my wife.
I am self locking - she hasn't quite got into it and hasn't any interest in being a keyholder. Difficult for me to give advice when I can't report a full success story - but she seems more comfortable that I wear one.

Will see where it goes for me but if you can look at why you want one and some how share that with your partner then it might help. But if it's not their thing they do not have to follow it - I would try things that my wife would suggest but she doesn't think about such things.
