Im a guy thats intrested in wearing womens clothes, but maybes not all types of them.

Firstly I want to buy a couple of coats and jackets that are aimed at women but cant find the corage to do so, is there any advice that any one can give to buying one????

Secondly, is theyre any one outhere that can advise me on how to buy a thong, not one of those male ones, but a female one that will fit me. I have always wanted to know what a thong feels like to wear, but have felt that the male ones look awful and the femail ones look nicer. I wouldnt want anything too ffilly/lacy, just large enough to fit my wang and equiptment into.

I live in the UK so is there any shop/store chain that their staff uses good discression???

Thanks again.

Most lingerie shop/section staff should be able to help you with sizing in a discreet, professional way.

I don't know if return policies work the same in the UK, but if you can return unworn items with a receipt in a certain period of time, and don't want to use the dressing rooms in the store, buying and returning everything that doesn't fit might be the way to go. You could ask the salesperson for help with sizing, and tell them you're most comfortable buying a range of sizes and seeing what's likely to fit best at home. To everyone else, it'll look like you're buying your lady sexy panties. :)

You might also try searching for stores in the nearest big city that cater to crossdressers. In Seattle, they're usually in the GLBT/alternative/most open-minded neighborhood. That may be a more comfortable place for you to get advice and try stuff on; no one will bat an eye at you shopping for women's clothes there.

Write down the brands and sizes that generally work for you. That way, you'll know what to look for online and can more easily look for better prices on the same items if you find the store(s) you visit to be pricey.

What kind of coats/jackets are you thinking of? Blazers/suit jackets? Outerwear? Casual? Leather?

One thing you could do is go to a store that doesn't have very helpful, or a lot of sales staff. Grab a few men's jackets, then head to the ladies section and grab a few of those in varying sizes that look about right. You can hold them up to your chest to see if you're in the right range. Head to the dressing room and try the ladies jackets on.

Another approach is to shop for your "wife/girlfriend" whose shoulders/chest are "about your size" (if that's believable). You can ask a salesperson for advice or just use it in case someone asks.

I think your best bet is to try items on at some point, but you may also consider getting your measurements because most online retailers list the measurements of jackets and such, or at least you can ask about them. See which measurements you need (likely shoulders, chest, arm length and waist), and have someone you trust or a tailor measure you. Neither has to know it's for womens clothing.

For me, the most important thing to do when I'm embarrassed about buying toys or whatever is to remember that:
- I'm not doing anything wrong
- I'm not the first person to do it
- Professionals have likely seen it all before
- I need to give people the benefit of the doubt and credit for being professionals
- Who cares if someone I'm unlikely to ever see again knows what I'm buying and thinks I'm odd?

Lingerie and clothing salespeople have probably helped more than one man figure out what ladies size he is. This isn't an uncommon interest, as you know. The likelihood of that increases dramatically when the store's in a more liberal area or caters to a wide variety of people.

Be proud of yourself, brave and confident. Or, at least act like you feel that way until you truly do, and I bet you'll find yourself shopping more easily than you ever thought possible in a lot less time than you imagined. :rose:

keep in mind, stores want to sell you stuff to stay in business. they could care less about you as a person, so I wouldn't worry about being 'judged' or anything like that.

besides, as far as they know, its a gift for someone else that is about the same size as yourself.

That is a true point, they are in it to make a profit.

But i want to get something that is gonna look good, not like i have gone and bought some womens jacket and am wearing it, i want to be subtle but proud about it.

Its the style, but in a off the peg style im looking at.

I am also wanting to know how to carry off buying/wearing it as well.

Confedence and nonchalance are a key to life, whitch i do have one in nonchalance, but confedence is another. May be time to break that by buying a jacket AND wearing it.

I see where youre going with this, i shouldnt really care about what other people think, its what i care about and like that should matter.

After looking at the jackets, I don't think anyone will notice that they are women's. I really do like all of them. It would be a different story if they were pink.

Anyway, I'm also a crossdresser. My style is more the androgynous look - no skirts, dresses, or wigs in public. Most people don't notice unless I'm wearing something very obvious, like a bra under a tight shirt, heels that are higher than 1-1/2", and the like. No one notices the panties or hosiery, or the women's jeans and pants, or most of the shirts that I wear.

While shopping, as others mentioned, the store is more concerned about making a sale. The tough part is getting the nerve to try something on in a women's clothing store when the store is busy. Go when its not so crowded, or go to stores that have men's & women's clothes.

?? And here I thought ALL the men in England wore women's clothes! *LMAO*

Seriously - just tell the saleslady you're buying for your wife or GF. I don't know about sizes in England, but in the US small women's panties are usually ok or even too large for males. Women have larger butts; that's a fact of nature! So I suggest you begin with small (in the US that'd be size 5) panties.

They're probably not so expensive you can't trash a pair or two if they don't fit properly. Keep trying; you'll soon find the correct size.

Or if all else fails - fly to Texas; I'll put you in mine for a weekend. I also have a French maid's uniform I bet would make you look just ADORABLE!

The sizes in the UK are like this:

US: 0---2---4---6---8---10
UK: 6---8---10--12--14--16

I think im gonna start by buying a Jacket and go from there, something unambigious looking. I want one that is "hugging" me, but keeping me warm as i want to start going for walkis in a couple near by parks at least once a week this winter to act as part of a get out and loose some weight thing i want to do.

I am making a list of all the jackets i should try on, and am making a mental list of all the hints and tips everyone has given me.

Now all i need to know is; Should i put some loose fitting or good fitting chlothes on to get the best fit???

And i think im gonna get a couple man thongs to see if i like them.
