Marie's Favorite Things

[MidwestPrincess23]

It's not a competition. Don't get annoyed with someone because they are liked. Because they are funny, smart, sexy, or anything else positive. Don't be a dick.

Amen, girlfriend

[LaisDeMarieDeFrance]

Last night I had a sex dream about a guy who kept me hanging for about a decade. At some point it became a lucid dream because I backed it up and before he got in the shower with me, I said, "You have got to be kidding me! Are you serious right now? Get outta here!!!"

Did you read it? What did you think?

And I just found myself starting to hum this.

Loved it! Read seven of them in the series in about 8 days. lol

"What a difference you made in my life"...indeed. Should have chosen "Any day now" instead:

Any day now
When your restless eyes meet someone new
Oh, to my sad surprise
Then the blue shadows will fall all over town, oh
Any day now (any day now)
Love will let me down (any day now)
I know I shouldn't want to keep you
If you don't want to stay-ay
Until you gone forever
I'll keep holding on for dear life
Holding you this way
Begging you to stay
Any day now
When the clock strikes, "Go"
You'll call it off
And then my tears will flow

In retrospect, that song is much more appropriate.

Thanks for the difficult lesson. I'll never fall for sweet words again. I don't need a man to protect me, praise me, provide for me, or please me.

I never needed a man, I just thought I did. I can give myself better orgasms than any of them. If I could go back to my teenage self and convince myself to not bother with relationships, I would absolutely do it. These men don't think I'm enough, but the truth is they are not enough for me. I need more than they're willing to give. And I'm tired of giving my all in exchange for absence, betrayal, and pain.

You are a strong beautiful woman and all that you need.

Thank you friend!

You’re right - you don’t need a man, you are fully enough, and they were the ones lacking! You’re an amazing woman, just keep on being your amazing self!

[LaisDeMarieDeFrance]

Hugs.

to you too, ya perv. Now get off me before Amber declares a vendetta against me.

Thanks Cheeks! Sometimes I need to remind myself and others that women are powerful, no matter who hurts us.

This for two of my closest friends on here, who have both dealt with cowardly, deceitful Lit men. They are strong women who were kind and forgiving until these assholes pushed it too far. Now they're healing and less trusting. They are crazy strong and wonderful people who deserve so much better.

I'm not believing liars anymore. Not even giving them a chance to say "forever and always" or "I will never hurt you like that." I've cried too many tears. I'm giving way fewer chances these days. So much love to give, but for now it will be given to a few awesome friends.

[LaisDeMarieDeFrance]

Aka, the dick rules. No, you don't miss the "closeness". If you did, you wouldn't have disappeared. Closeness = orgasms. Don't insult my intelligence.

Still crying and working on the accepting, but I'll get there.

Of course you will and we are here to support you

So true! I internalize things and blow them up way out of proportion. I'm on the verge of divorce and my husband is just sitting there eating chips, clueless. He said I need to talk about things instead of stressing myself out or beating myself up. Sometimes he's smart. Sometimes.
