While the Democrats are no prize, for a variety of reasons from bad public policy in response to hashtags and selective outrage, it’s never been a reasonable question that Donald Trump is a grifter and a demagogue, and those who enable and assist him are toadies. I had to hold my nose to vote blue last time, just as I did in 2016 and 2020, but the policies of this current crop of Republicans, either mindless or spineless, have vindicated my choice. It has always been a scam.
