Married men

Open marriage definitely isn't for everyone, that much is true....it'll either bring you closer together, or tear you apart. Friends of ours tried it, and they are splitting up now.

I was actually in that boat, Em....I had never cheated, but my wife strayed, and screwed another guy behind my back. It wasn't the sex that hurt me...she was only 17 when we first met, and I could see her being curious as to what it'd be like with other guys, cause I felt the same, wondering what it'd be like with other women...but it was the fact that she'd lied to me and tried to hide things.

For awhile, thought the marriage was going to be over, but we worked things through, and we found something that, thus far, is seeming to work for both of us.

Oh wow....glad I found this thread! Wyld, it sounds like you are in EXACTLY the same place as my husband and I. We met when I was 16 and he was 20. We got married 4 years later, and had never been with another person. During a really low point in my life due to some heartbreaking family issues, he strayed. We thought it was the end. But we worked through it. About a year ago, happier than we had ever been, we decided to give open marriage a shot. It has been phenomenal. It has brought us closer together, it has excited us, and completely changed our lives. It's really good to hear someone else out there that has lived my story. I get so tired of being judged. Open marriage does not have to fail. Sometimes it does, I give you that. But that doesn't mean mine will. In fact, hubby and I had a long discussion about it last night and we agreed that we are both very happy with where things are, love each other more than ever, and are at a better place in our lives than ever before.

So it comes down to the question....are you going to let your wife dictate to you how you can live your life? Does that sound particularly appealing to you, or how things ought to be?

I agree with your question/statement. I cannot ever imagine being the type of wife who would dictate what is or is not going to "fly" in our marriage. We are adults, he is a human being with feelings and emotions, desires and dreams. I owe it to him to be open minded and acknowledge his desires, even if I don't completely agree. I owe it to him to be an adult and discuss it maturely, instead of dictating to him and giving him ultimatums. It absolutely sickens me to see wives do this to their husbands. He's not your property, he's your partner. Be a true partner and open your mind to something that is important to him....you might just be surprised what you discover.

Awesome to hear others out there going through the same things as me, PixelPrincess. :)

I totally disagree with that. Cheating on your partner is a terrible thing to do. If your partner agrees that you can have sex with someone else, that's fine but to go behind their back and think it's okay, because it's unemotional sex is wrong.

As for men not being capable of being monogamous...again I disagree. I've been with my husband for 23 years and I know he has been faithful...how?...because he has never gone anywhere without me and work isn't a place where he could cheat either...You probably don't believe me but...(shrug)...

Physiologically, human beings are not designed to be monogamous. We have done so because religion and society has told us that is what we should do. That being said, I 100% agree with you. Cheating is a horrible, disrespectful, abhorrent thing to do to someone you supposedly "love". I define cheating the same way Em seems to, anything that is done behind my back, dishonestly, without my knowledge, is cheating. If you have the need to sleep around with other people, talk to your spouse about it. If they adamantly disagree, then it's up to you to make the decision as to whether or not sleeping with other people is important enough to you to end the relationship with your spouse. At least respect him/her enough for that.

Yes, it is awesome. I only wish everyone was able to feel the excitement, love, and joy that my husband and I are with our relationship. It is truly liberating. :) Unfortunately, most people cannot get past their own insecurities to be open minded to such a situation.

Is it really so hard for someone to understand that foreign dick/pussy is just fun? It doesn't have to always be emotional

Exactly! Very well said...I approve! :)

Just because society pushes its norms at you, doesn't mean you have to follow them. If someone has a problem with the things you do, it is THEIR problem, not yours. Guess my own personal viewpoint is, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, people should be able to do what they like in order to be happy. Life is too short, to go through it being miserable.

My wife and I feel the same way. I can tell her anything I desire sexually, even my kinkiest, she gets turned on simply because she wanted my brain and want to know what I am thinking. She wanted to say ANYTHING on my mind when it comes to sex. :D

I think that's awesome that you can have that type of relationship and that it brings you that much closer.

Every time I come in here, this place is so boring. I tried to start a meaningful thread, and horny guys don't like those kinds of threads. :(

Real close. This most intimacy and closeness you can get that NO one else can experience except between us. I find this very powerful sexually.

My wife and I met through swinging (open marriage). We divorced our spouses and we got married. I saw that majority of the couples who are in open marriage are looking for what they can't get from each other.

We both learned this and this is why we are to be open and honest about what we feel, we want and we desire. Never to be afraid to ask for anything kinky.

Here's the thread I started earlier today which relates to what we are currently talking about. http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=731660

However, guys there don't find it appealing LOL

I'm not disgusted by my husband's kinky sexual fantasies...truth be told, he doesn't have any. That's not what makes him the bad person he is...but anyway, I'm the one with the kinky fantasies. I've expressed a few of them to him and he's expressed his lack of desire for them. So, now what?
