Marvel: The Mutant Outbreak (OOC)

Well, it seems it would be harder to kill Knight's character than Raven. One would have to make it through his barriers and get past his magic attacks, then get close enough to behead him. Any other tactic would only result in him regenerating and coming back at you, lol.

Also, CoaxMe was going to play Spider-Woman, but she seems to have vanished and has disabled her private message capability, so I guess she's out, which means we have five guys and no girls -- NiteCrowe hasn't posted yet, but he told me just now via facebook that he wants to play Deadpool. So, as of right now, NO MORE MALES, lol.

We got me, Sean, Drakwall, Knight, and Nite. Each of us needs to try and recruit one female and we'll be good to go.

about done with edits

i was debating on using the powers of The Shadow but decided not to

I know wikis are put together by a lot of people many of whom are smarter than me and pay more attention to detail than I am. However Energy Circle Combat covers WAY too much territory that aren't even particularly similar, especially the Naruto ones which are almost all spell like abilities and any resemblance to an actual shape is mostly coincidental. (Well the artist likes circles, but there is no reason given why it couldn't be any other shape and the Edo Tensai is displayed and it's not even a circle!)

It's not a bad power though.

Hehe. Well we better get going with the whole advertisement for female writers, I am unclear if I will be much help but I can post in the Threads Seeking Players thread if you want me to.

was considering doing it as magic circle combat
which he has to summon magic circles to launch his attacks.

One, two, three, five. One of us is very confused. I think it's me.

I'm also utterly unable to understand what Scatter Shot actually does.

Oh, sorta like a remote shot. I kept thinking the second circle appeared in front (in close proximity) of him and it seemed like an extra unnecessary step. That's actually a kinda neat power. It's a bit like Janemba from DBZ: Fusion Reborn.

thanks

i was think on doing a type of electrical power and he can charge it and fire it like a railgun

I am a bit confused by your back-story, Knight, and I am kind of iffy about there being magical organizations that know about different realms already, but I have a feeling if I don't just let it go, its gonna be a recurring cycle, lol. I guess I should focus more on actually getting females here and less on trying to keep the characters consistent with the story world.

You could add them like a Background organization sort of like AIM, HYDRA, SHIELD and any other spy organization, except these guys are magically oriented and actually stays hidden pretty well even into the twentieth century.

I think the bigger recurring cycle is either magic doesn't exist at all and we should cut it or magic is old and some people just don't get it. If everybody is learning from scratch it makes little sense for more characters not to get it and I always assumed that Captain America and Tony Stark were abnormally smart. Tony having the advantage of a first rate education, genius father as well. If they were all introduced to Magic at the same time I have no doubt that Tony and Steve would be damned impressive. Dr. Doom seems to make a strong case in that direction.

I mean a recurring cycle as in "Knight alters his character, I still don't like it, he alters it again, I still don't like it," etc.

Oh. My bust.

In which case all I can add is I have no particularly strong feelings about magic or even high powered characters. I think part of what makes Cap and Batman so awesome is that nobody every questions their place on a team where the next weakest person should be able to kill them by blinking. And if I wanted to keep up I'd play Ben 10, who has the lovely feature of scaling perfectly to nearly any setting. You want to play DBZ? Fine, I scan and then turn into Cell. I'm on par literally with everything EVER. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the show but RP wise his gift is that you stick him in Batman and he's only as powerful as Killer Croc, you stick him in DC and he's as strong as Darkseid if need be.

Wow... well a possible Sorcerer Supreme would have probably been less exciting though.

Um... Cell isn't an alien though. He's an organic android designed by Dr. Gero. And even if you could scan him, would you become Imperfect Cell or Perfect Cell with absorbed androids and all?

i can edit it once more just need to figure out if i need to change powers around
and what not's

I guess I'm confused why he doesn't know how he vanished or how he appeared suddenly fighting good. I mean, he was with the Nazi's, then vanished, then reappeared and suddenly was a good guy? It just makes no sense to me, lol.

As for the powers, I don't really care anymore. I don't want to stress over people "breaking the game" so to speak with powers that I believe are a little farfetched for the world I'm trying to convey here, lol. It's easier to just let it roll of my shoulders instead of stress about it. So, I don't care if people want to have gods and demons and what the fuck ever else in this story. I don't care if people are OP or if the characters don't match the world and everything is incredibly out of balance and unrealistic and whatever blah blah blah. I don't care anymore, lol.

I wanted to convey this world as very similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, very grounded in reality at the beginning, and then gradually more wild things come into play. But your character brings in magic and organizations that have been around for years.

Honestly it's entirely unclear. The Omnitrix isn't a human device and the fact that human isn't a setting that Ben has for transforming is treated as entirely random. Cell being an artificial life form (and so is Buu) might be important but Saiyan and Arcosian (Frieza) would both be completely in bounds.

If he could scan Cell bypassing the above. . .it would be hard to tell what version he turned into. There seems to be fairly equal evidence that he comes out as the best of a species as that he comes out as the average. Though even Imperfect Cell has planet busting power and regeneration. You'd do rather well in most settings but I admit the evidence there is scant.
