Good on you, Brainycat, for getting us going! I had my first Covid shot on Friday, and it put me on my ass all day yesterday (Saturday). Just now feeling normal again -- but not so normal as to do any yardwork, LOL. Guess I'll surf Literotica to re-charge my batteries!

Brainycat, I should have mowed my lawn this weekend, but as much as I'm looking forward to the warmer weather, I can't bring myself to do it. I'm the last one on my block to mow the grass, so I guess I'd better get it done before I get the old passive aggressive retired guys asking if they can mow the lawn for me.



Edit to add: I got my first shot Thursday! So excited. I didn't have any side effects other than a sore arm. Felt like my brother frogged me.

Hi all, been MIA a bit. Did get vaccinated and now dealing with a sick pet. Lots of emotional upheaval with that!

You have been a stranger so welcome back and hope the pet gets better. I had a my second vaccine last week. I had a stronger reaction to the second shot than the first but feel fine now. I did read today that over 50% of the people surveyed still believe it will be at least six months before they will attend a public event like a concert or ball game. Not sure how I feel. Fully vaccinated now but what else is lingering out there?

Well my cat isn't going to get any better and I made the heartbreaking decision to put both of them down together - they are brother & sister from the same litter. I can't separate them knowing that the loss of one will cause the other to decline rapidly where I have to go through all this again. I spoke with 3 vets before coming to this decision so I'm taking it day by day. I'm only waiting now so my sister can be here with me when it actually takes place.

@Sassy - reruns of Grey's Anatomy, Game of Thrones, or Bob's Burgers. I alternate between 4 games: The Cat Game, Merge Magic, Merge Dragons, and Animal Crossing New Horizons


On a lighter note - I think I am actually ready to start dating! *gasp* But... not just yet. Maybe after I move in August. Debating on whether to stay here in MD or move to Chicago to live with my sister. I have to wait for the blessing of my new boss though so it'll probably be late June or July before I know for sure.
Anyone know good areas here in MD with reasonably priced apartments? Like under $1200 with Central Heat &Air? lol Where I live now isn't necessarily bad but I'm hoping to find a place on the other side of the tunnel so I can cut out the tolls when traveling to & from work. (I have the commuter plan but still)

You could probably find an apartment in that price range deep on the Eastern Shore. . We'll miss you if you move to Chicago.

Yay toys!!! Not ten minutes ago I was considering asking my wife if it would freak her out if I got myself a male toy. I've owned a fleshlight before, which was a lot of fun but it didn't last very long. If I remember right, I paid like $80 for it and it only lasted about three months. That's back when I was single, though, so maybe I wouldn't be as rough on them any more.

You mind telling us what you got? Give us some user reviews?

Any guys have experience with male toys they'd like to share?

I got a plus One vibrating bullet and one of those clit sucker things. It should have been delivered Friday (when I was interested in using them) but they didn't come in until yesterday morning. I pulled them out of the packages to test them but the desire to use them had passed. Maybe another time perhaps.
I doubt anyone will truly miss me if I move since I'm not all that active :wink: but nothing is decided on yet. Have to get the permission from my new boss after she starts!

Hey all! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. Ugh it's so hot already and I dislike it.

I've been struggling a little this week but I know better days are ahead.
Has anyone done anything fun now that most of the restrictions have been lifted? I will confess, I have not really been looking at any news and I have only seen things on social media so I'm not really sure what restrictions are actually lifted at this point.

I don't know what restrictions have been lifted, either! Lol. I have noticed most people aren't wearing masks, and employees aren't wearing masks anywhere except this one convenience store near my house. I just got my second dose last week, so I'm still playing it safe since I'm not technically fully vaccinated for a couple more weeks. I am hoping to so me more time at my favorite dock bar this summer. I didn't get to go over there almost at all last summer. It's within paddling distance of my house, so sometimes I'll SUP over, but most of the time I'm lazy and will take the Sea Doo or a boat. With a new baby in our house, I'm not sure I'll be able to find any time, restrictions or no restrictions.

Hogan has basically done as the CDC recommends, but locally it varies, as well as business-to-business. I know the Ollie's near Towson and the Shopper's near the intersection of Perring Parkway and Joppa Road both have signs up now that say you can go maskless if you're fully vaccinated.

I frequent the Shopper's store and have only seen mask-less customers late in the evening.

Hi Marylanders! Thanks so much to everyone for keeping this thread alive. I've been lurking for the last few months, but haven't posted because I haven't really had much worth saying. But it's always nice to hear from you all.

I make it a point not to use this thread to plug my stories—unless they're Maryland-specific. My latest is set at a Renn Faire that was inspired by the Maryland Renaissance Festival, which I know we've talked about here in the past. I'm looking forward to Renn Fest this year, and I suspect other folks are too, after missing it last year. So I thought maybe this story would be of interest.
