I did see the new avengers movie last night. I liked it though cannot say I cared for the ending though it does increase the curiosity for how the next movie will tie everything up. I wonder if the Capt America, Iron Man and Thor characters are done?

Speaking of regret, I let some friends talk me into a camping trip on the Eastern shore next weekend. I gotta drive across the Bay Bridge on Memorial Day weekend. What the HELL was I thinkng!?

I ended up at National Harbor. The parking is expensive, but at least it's easy and there's lots of it. And since it's right off the beltway, less time in traffic and more time in the sun. I got an outdoor table at Redstone and had a nice, long, leisurely dinner while the sun set over the Potomac.

So what's everyone up to this long weekend? I'm about to brave Rt 50 for the slog across the Bay Bridge because I don't think things through. If you're stuck in traffic with me, I'm the frazzled-looking one in the car full of camping gear with a manic look in my eyes screaming "Zipper merge! Zipper merge!"

Stayed home for the long weekend but had a good time. Of course it felt like it was already August with the humidity even though it was cloudy. My thoughts go out to those ravage by the flood in Ellicott City for the second time in 2 years. I could not imaging having to go through all of that hassle again so soon.

So FYI, Shot Tower gin (distilled in Baltimore) is a little more junipery. And Vigilant Navy Strength gin (distilled in DC) is a little more citrusy and packs a punch. Did I ever mention I have a tendency to over share when I've been drinking?

Didn't get a chance to go...I was out with my mom and brother Saturday up in a part of NW DC near Georgia Avenue visiting my nephew. Sunday I wasn't feeling well. I'm cooking now. Been up since 3am.

SPF 50 for me...my pasty white complexion needs all the protection it can get.
Ben & Jerry's...I've never been there...give me anything flavor, with chocolate (my favorite treat).
